  Room was comfortable and toasty warm. Nice comfy bed and quite a large kitchen area which would be good if staying for a longer period.   We liked the convenience of the location. Walking through Hagley Park and on to the Botanic Gardens was great. We also walked to breakfast some mornnings at Vic's (a great spot!) and dinner at various restaurants. The desk staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. They were always ready to help us with directions, etc. We dealt with Joel... what people say » mostly and I wanted to express our graditude to her for being so helpful. The free Internet was great, especially since that was our only connection - The ability to check in late (1.30am in my case) by prior arrangement was much appreciated. The hotel is close to some really nice places to eat. It's far enough from the centre to not feel like you are in the middle of depressing devastation, but close enough to walk to the Re-Start Mall and things that are still open (like the excellent Canterbury museum) in the centre of the city.

  Lovely location and great staff, everything was brand new, so much so I feel we were the first in the 3 bedroom apartment. Rooms were large and the 2 showers a bonus. Having a washing machine and dryer and a oven meant staying for a while would be very easy and convenient. - Staff were very helpful. Location was very central which made it easy to get to things, it because so much in the centre city is still closed, it was a bit difficult to find dinner At night unless one planned ahead.

  The staff were absolutely awesome and could not do enough to ensure our stay was trouble free, transfer to the airport at the early hours of the morning was promp and efficient, the restaurant staff were always there to ensure our drinks were topped up and ensure we were happy with the quality of the food and service. Due to being at the airport, we asked for a quiet room. Asked for a later check-out time, and were granted that immediately. Hotel is undergoing some renovations and we had a nicely re-done bathroom. Great convenience if you need something right at the airport, with some attractions within walking distance (Antartica exploration exhibits)

The central location is great and I enjoy walking around the inner city to see the changes that are occuring in Christchurch. Love the free wifi and morning paper. It’s 15 minutes walk to center but since there isn’t much to see in the center you might as well just enjoy being close to the park. Room: it’s a bit small but very clean and tidy with good décor.   The hotel was a short bus ride from the city centre (around 5-10 minutes) on the way to airport and costed a few NZD. The hotel staff were friendly and offered free shuttle transfers every 15 minutes to the airport. It would be perfect for a group of friends or a family and due to the location it would actually be - We needed somewhere handy to the airport as it was our base for arriving and departing nz. The staff were more than helpful and happy to accommodate out needs in terms of picking us up and dropping us off, holding baggage and helping us out. They couldn't do enough for us. Although slightly more than I'd hoped to pay, I felt we for value for money. On our first night we stayed in one of the older apartments, but it was still cosy and clean.
