As soon as we walked in through the reception door we felt welcome. On sit manager was friendly, took an interest in our being in Christchurch. Clean and friendly establishment reflected the work of all the staff. very clean with friendly helpful staff. comfortable bed (which is unusual for a motel) I stay in a lot of motels through work and this was one of the most comfy and clean, well done. Have recommended to work.
all reviews » The pick-up point for day trips is nearby. There is few convenience stores around the corner. Opposite have a Thai Container selling asian food. Casino is of walking distance. Old but very clean room, staff friendly and helpful & very comfy beds. I stay in motels all around the country for work but this was a private stay I was more than happy. The room had lots of space to move around, nice and warm with a comfortable bed. About 30 paces from the bus stop for the Intercity bus line. I loved the space and comfort of the room. It was very clean and quiet. My girlfriend and I were able to relax after a busy and tiring day. Walking distance from the city centre. (10 minute) Thai container restaurant across the roan and nice coffee shop on the corner next door. Good value for money. Great location for southern cross hospital. Friendly helpful staff. Receptionist friendly. Cleaning staff great. I loved how helpful the receptionist was, also the room was lovely and perfect for what we needed, I would most deffinately stay again. The price was reasonable. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Lovely blankets on the beds. The beds were comfortable. Manager very helpful and friendly - printed out our e-tickets and extended our check-out by another hour. Not near the city center though, it is good to stay. friendly staff and comfortable to stay. The cieanness of the rooms. Spacious. Locaton is perfect. Right infront of the intercity coach stop. Bed was conmfortable. Nothing. Nil. toilet door could have had a lock on it (but not important). Nothing to pick on accomodation but just the weather as it goes extremes of 10c difference. could do with a bit of a paint but that's nothing really. Being across the road from the hospital there were a few sirens during the night. The location was good but we did have to walk a bit to get to the city. There was a lot of road noise which made it difficult to sleep. The bathroom could have done with a bit of updating. Bathroom needs to be updated a little - shower curtains should be banned!. Pretty noisy as was in room fronting street. Room bit dark but no dramas. The traffic noise, but we are from a rural area. Hotel staff only recommended 1 place to eat. A little noisy on the street side rooms. Some traffic noise from a busy road but not a big obstacle. nothing. Few restaurants nearby and window faced the street so was a bit noisy. We had a room close to the main road. So there was lots of road noise, It was quite warm in the room an air conditioner would have been great. Limited number of TV channels The stairs to go to our room. Soooo noisy at night with all the loud cars. very close to the road side. Road noise. No control of waterflow on shower head. Very noisey with boy racers right outside window going up and down avenue for what seemed like forever and police sirens. But husband found this entertaining!. Thought we were getting the room that was advertised on the wed site. Not many restaurants in area ones there were very expensive. Noisy bathroom, and could hear the neighboring rooms. One if the bedside lights didn't work and was slightly out of the wall. Nothing to dislike. No lift. Every day when they came in to clean the room they would leave the window open. It does only open a few cm's but does open onto the carpark and I did not feel it was safe for my things in the room. No air conditioning. I would've liked to have paid cash for my stay - reception had already put my payment through on credit when I arrived, bathroom towels need renewing, no tissues in the bathroom, kitchen cupboard smelled like curry ... Not having a working electric blanket on both sides of double bed. Breakfast food was frozen in fridge where it had been put the evening before. We were not given the receipt for our stay.We had paid on line and I was told I would be given receipt when we left but this didn't happen. noise from busy road. The shower over the bath and no safety shower mat.Also no hand rail over the bath. No wi-fi yet it was advertised. The city itself is deserted. Unit was very dated; kitchen facilities shabby and dark. Place was cold. We arrived late in the day on a very cold afternoon and all windows were open. Room took ages to warm up. Uncomfortable bed, noisy traffic, was reallocated to another motel without sufficient notice, expensive for the quality of room, worst accomodation throughout my whole trip travelling in both North and South Island of nz!.
