Room was comfortable and toasty warm. Nice comfy bed and quite a large kitchen area which would be good if staying for a longer period. Sweet little balcony that overlooked some nice houses on the street (Christchurch is a pretty city - even with the earthquake damage). I was very happy with the service we got from west fitzroy,loved the modern look of the rooms,very warm and cosy,felt very much at home. staff were awesome and very helpful. when i needed anything they were there and i will be going back again haha..
all reviews » The apartment was fully equipped in lauding your own washer and dryer. Everything in the kitchen and plenty if spare towels and linens. Bed very comfy. Free shuttle bus to train station - very handy. Clean and complete. Staying overnight there gives one perspective on life--if you have food and shelter, one should appreciate that!. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooom was very pleasant to stay in with everything you need. Also location is good. Good location .. Liked the separate bed/ kitchen facilities.. I have stayed in 2 different apartments both good.. Conviently located to the city centre, Hagley Park etc. Good sized rooms, plenty of parking space. the facilities were all excellent and I was particularly happy with the guest laundry arrangement. Was a great place to stay to start my holiday in NZ. Clean , Warm and comfortable. Central Located Well appointed Clean Staff provided paperwork as requested. Quiet. Staff feedback and friendliness was great. Place was great and very comfortable. That it was still standing. Location, close to CBD. Great to have a gym onsite, Neville was very helpful and friendly as were the housekeeping staff. Room had everything i needed. Apartment was two bedroomed which was good with two young children. Facilities in the apartments good. A lot of construction work going on outside the apartments but part of the Christchurch rebuild. Good convenient location to buses. Good Location and neat and clean room. We arrived quite late and night and they took a while to answer the telephone, meaning we'd started panicking about not having anywhere to stay. But that's understandable since they were probably in bed or something. They were perfectly helpful and polite once we got on to them though. Location's not bad but not good either - possibly through businesses closing down after earthquake. No sugar in the room at all for morning coffees or teas. nothing to dislike!!. Apartment is situated in re-build zone and because of that the area looks the way you would expect it to look. We had a great balcony which overlooked a building site. What else can you expect in a city doing its best to get back on its feet after such a disaster. Don't let it put you off. So not really something not to like just to be aware of. Christchurch Accommodations could have been more upfront about this being adjacent to a disaster zone, the cordoned area of the centre city's earthquake rubble. Some direction to nightlife or food and how to gain access after 5 pm were needed. We were lucky to have a shuttle van driver that knew where to find the keys. Finally, my full Visa card number and exp date were on the printed receipt with the key in an open mailbox--very unnecessary!. Nothing, all good. I would like a daily service option.. For fresh towels and bed to be made.. Some difficulty finding the allocated parking slot at first. Unable to get a late check out on Sunday, because the cleaners finish at 12noon!! This needs to be sorted out. Panel in bedroom ceiling falling down. Lift out of service on one occasion carrying shopping up 5 flights was quite a challenge but it was only once. The ironing board was horrible to use and there was no free wifi. They firgot to clean and leave enough dishwashing powder The 4% charge for Amex. Nothing. No complementary airport shuttle but not a major for us. Limited staff on weekend,couldn't get a early check in. Outdated map... Not being advised in advance that my arrival was Waitangi day (public hol) and so noone to meet me or show me where key was left. I had no telephone to use. Having to pay a 1.9% surcharge to use a credit card! Really cash/cheque is not an alternative today and eftpos should be standard. Nothing. Similar establishments offer Wifi, i was surprised this was an extra cost, as was the credit card surcharge which surprised me, i had assumed such a charge would be included in the room price. Treadmill belt was skipping. All in all though i would come back and stay again. Thank you for making my stay a positive one. Apartment was not as clean as I would have liked with something sticky on the bench and on the door handles. The unit was very small and suitable for overnight only.
