  We stayed in 2 units, one recently renovated, the other still waiting. We found both units to be warm, clean and user friendly. Access to and from the motel was easy, with entry/exit on both sides of motel. The host was very welcoming and provided us with directions to get to closeby shops & dining. - Adequate room and amenities for the money... what people say » . Clean and tidy. They left the light in outside for us when we arrived at night. Rooms have just been refurbished so look nice inside.

  I liked the fact that we were near everything the people were very friendly ,while we were staying there cleaners came in to clean which I think was so kind .Absolutely loved the service we received there was nothing that I could find wrong lovely couple running the place will stay there over and over again - Jim and Gail were friendly and gracio... what people say » us.   Handy to the city and yet tucked out of the way. friendly staff and most of all, top management (Kevin) who took care of some issues which weren't his fault but he took it to heart and dealt with promptly. - Had an awesome stay and great staff very friendly. Will definately stay again on our next travels up north

  Our host was fantastic. The 'converted barn' suite was absolutely divine. The bed was excellent. I slept like a baby after a long international flight and a drive from Auckland. This was my goal, and everything else was an indulgent bonus. What a wonderful way to introduce my two friends to NZ. I don't usually gush but this was fantastic, the best place we stayed during our stay in NZ. - Character home that was tastefully set-out in simple decor and style. Surrounds and house were coherent producing a place of rare quality for a B & B. Private rooms, unobtrusive host, pool, billard room, outstanding service, comfort levels in linen, beds, verandahs, dining options meant this was the ideal place to retreat to for a weekend or several days. Close to wonderful coastal beaches and walks. Perfect for couples.

  Our hosts were super friendly, and very helpful. Nothing was too big an ask, and they even cleaned the pool especially so that my 9 year old could go and have a swim (it's wasn't even dirty to start off with). Very convenient as far as location is concerned, as we were never more than 10 minutes tops away from anything we wanted to do or places we... what people say » wanted to visit. Unit was super clean, and comes equipped with everything you could wish for to make a stay comfortable. Would definitely recommend t - The staff were really lovely, which made our stay incredibly enjoyable. It was amazing value for money and the rooms were cosy and clean. We were coming up for a Dive trip that ended up getting cancelled due to high winds so we will definitely stay at Kensington Motel again when we next go and do our dive.

  Love the attention to detail , the cleanliness of the property , the quality of the linen and the crockery and cutlery . The decor is soothing after a long day out at work and the quality of the furnishings . - The decor of the lodge was cosy and comfortable. Affordable luxury accommodation. Will definately book again.
