I lost my handbag and it was returned, contents intact, by the hostel staff. They were very helpful, honest, friendly and obliging. The location is excellent - walking distance to all major historical/tourist attractions like the Grand Bazaar, the blue mosque, the spice market, the grand palace and parks. The hostel is very clean. The location is excellent for all the main tourist spots. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful (if the weather is good, you must sit on the cushions outside and have a drink/smoke!).

Near many restaurants so some light pollution, the room never really got dark. They are in the middle of renovations which weren't too noisy but some areas look nicer than others in the meantime,. The walls were too thin so I could hear sometimes my neighbours speaking. Our floor ran out of water for a few hours one morning and the hot water doesn't last too long. Breakfast is not wonderful either, but at the price, it is still very good value.The bathroom is the kind that has no division between the toilet and shower. So this means keep the toilet tissue out of the bathroom till after your shower.The value was still worth it. I would stay there again. some construction going on in the neighburhood - a bit noisy at times. Don't count on the hotel to reserve a parking place because they can'T.Everything is full. But you have a big parking at about 200m - near theShell gas station (or the railway station) and is cheaper than 10Euro/day (8 euro) and it also has security. The dust down the side of the chair in my room must have collected there for at least a year. The cleaner of the room wall in without knocking and I was sitting naked on the bed!. A door to the terras was broken and I felt not secure enough for the price I paid. Advertised price is a scam. On arrival we were told there are no rooms because of faulty showers. We were then "hawked" around the local sub-standard hotels and asked to pay a higher rate.
