The hotel was the best hotel we have ever stayed yet. The rooms were clean and very nice, the staff friendly and the breakfast was very good as well.The situation of the hotel is great. There are quite a few nice restaurants in the area and yoi can visit all important sites by foot. Considering the quite moderate prices (beverage in the hotel bar and mini bar are really low) we can only recommend it.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel very central and easy to walk to tourist sites, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar etc.Tram line close by if you do not wish to walk.The offer of airport transfer is appreciated. The breakfast is excellent, as well as the welcome drink and Turkish Delight. The swimming pool and Turkish Bath area were delightful.The parting gift was a welcome surprise. This is a great hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet. The location is great -- it's a 2 minute walk to the Gulhane station, a 5-10 minute walk to Topkapi Palace, Haghia Sophia and Blue Mosque, and there are several good restaurants surrounding it. It has a Turkish bath and heated swimming pool, and the free breakfast was a feast! They also provide free shuttle service to/from Ataturk Airport.Locatio, breakfast, staff, price, airport transfer, the room had a verynice cool a/c, speaker in the bathroom to listen to your tv show, lcd tvwith more than 200 channel satalite cable, water boiler with cofee andtea bags, safety box, hot and cold water all the time for taking shower.Lots of resturants and hotels around you. The "Gulhane" tramp is walkingdistance with 1.4 turkish lira ride. i travel a lot in turkey. Sapphire staff is indded at least as good as in istanbul hilton. whoever runs this hotel deserves recognition; also they park your car day or night in a lot about 3 bloks away, carry your luggage, no charge - i tipped 4ytl each trip to the lot. breakfast much better then other hotels in istanbul, powerfull secured wireless in room, inexpensive minibar.1.Stuff was very polite and helpfull. One off ur stuff guys even came and took us till the ship station so we can go to Bosphorus!2. Swimming pool and sauna was available for us in late evening when we came back from our day tours in the city=it was very relaxing and stuff never told us that we cant go there, that it is too late and we cant use. we always were welcome.3. Hotel Sapphire is very good hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent (plenty of different choices, fresh food every morning). The room was nice and spacious. Also even closer to two tram stops. Recommend you look at Istanbul tram, bus and rail information sites and buy an Akbil token to save money and make travelling more convenient. It would be so nice to have breakfast on the top listening some classical music like it was in the other istanbul hotel.Difficult to find initially, as there does not appear to be a street nameplate (not the hotel's fault). None. no - we were all very happy. Difficult to find; even the taxi driver was lost! Maybe using its other name would help: Hotel Safir. I can't think of anytning, all thumbs up. Nothing to dislike even the noisy parrot in receptoin gave us a good laugh.I am not able to complain, it was very nice stay there!!!!. The drains smelt a little in our bathroom.
