1.Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff: Especially Mr. Malik Celebi gave me lots of useful advice where to go and what to see to make it a perfect holiday. 2. Tidiness of the rooms. 3. Breakfast: Huge variety of the buffet, great view from the restaurant. 4. Location: A lot of Istanbul's attractions can be reached within a few minutes walking. The reservationist Malek was excellent. In no time he had us booked on a trip up the Bosphorus and a city tour of Istanbul. He helped with restaurant suggestions and seemed to know exactly what we would enjoy! Every hotel should have a Malek!.

First of all, the Golden Horn hotel (Sirkeci) features a super location. Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace, Galata bridge are within walking distance of the hotel. There is beautiful view from the restaurant on 6th floor. The staff was really friendly, professional, trained and caring. The hotel offered free transfer from the Ataturk International airport. It is very important for us that guests were not making any noise. We arrived there at 3 am and he gave us a warm welcome and very useful information about the city. The Golden Horn has a strategic location and this is very important point.The rooms are a bit small. Very small standart double room and bath in the bathroom :(. Rooms with hip-bath are rather small. we didn't know that the terrace was closed for reconstruction. The only thing that I did not like is keeping the AC and light off most of the time for the hotel lobby. The day time traffic is quite audible in certain rooms which face theroad. Hotel should provide hotel-airport shuttle service cheaper then the trip by taxi. Exchange rate applied at Hotel was abusive Eur 1,-- = Turkish Lira 1,70, while any exchange office near Grand Bazar was giving for Eur 1,-- over Turkish Lira 2,10.... The exchange rate at the hotel is more than abusive!. The bathroom(shower) is very inconvenient and small. A terrace is closed. Transfer from airport the expensive. 1. price was slightly higher than what is on the website 2. rooms are very small 3. although out of seasonm did not accept late checkout for a lower fee. It was noisy. furniture was old. Very few options at the Hotel Restaurant (in case you don't want to go out to eat). very noisy especially rooms at the first floor - if someone would like to stay, try to get other floor. no facilities. no gym, swimming pool. The noise in the street; it's not a quite area. The romms are smalls for 4 stars. Noisy Rooms. staff is so "natural" that they can talk to their "military service friend" while we're havig breakfast. The hotel staff made an attempt to provide me a room with broken air condition facilities on my coming to the hotel. However, the problem was resolved and the room was changed. But it took some time.The Air conditioner in the room did not work. There wasn´t A/C in the lobby. The matress was in bad condition. The room was very small! The price of breakfast too high.
