Traveling from Puerto Rico to New York and wanted to spend a few days in Istanbul before proceeding to my final destination, Libya. I venture to stay in the Golden Horn Hotel for all the good references found. I must say that I was not wrong. The best thing about my stay in the hotel was the service I received from ALL the staff we had contact since my arrival to my departure. The reception staff was especially kind, friendly and helped me in absolutely everything I need. Restaurant Syrian Wait.
all reviews » It was my second visit to the Golden Horn Istanbul hotel (last year it was named The Best Town Palace). Warm atmosphere and always smiling, polite and attentive English speaking staff!!! Everybody was friendly and helpful. I stayed in the same room I used before! The room was nice, well-equipped. Special thanks to housekeeping as they tried to keep up my spirit making towel figures. There is a very nice terrace (hotel restaurant) with a wonderful view to the Golden Horn; I enjoyed it very much . A very nice hotel, highly recommended. Great staff. Ideal position, all the tourist sites are within a walking distance, no need to spend money on taxi or city tour buses. The tram station is also nearby, so it's easy to access the hotel from the ataturk airport using public transportation. It takes TL6/2 metro tokens (jetons) and less than an hour. A lot of restaurants and shops around. You can find souvenirs cheaper than in Grand Bazaar. The rooms not big, but very clean and comfortable. All . The location of Best Town Palace is very comfortable, close to the railway station, trams. All must-be-seen places are close to the hotel. The building itself is new enough, the restaurant is on the 5th floor, and there's a wonderful view to the Bosphorus. Some rooms have Bosphorus view aswell. The rooms are not very big, but comfortable for staying. Clean bathroom, white towels and bed-linen make the rest comfortable. The room is cleaned everyday. The friendly stuff is very willing to help wit. The hotel had everything that you need for a nice stay in Istanbul! Good location, comfortable, nice breakfast, friendly personnel and free wifi. The rooms are clean, the bathroom was smal but enough. We were a group of 9 people and the 3- bed room with a view of the Bospore was great. The double rooms were a little bit small but ok. Breakfast inkluded several different types of salad, cheese, sausages, eggs, fruit etc. The people that was working at the hotel was really friendly and nice. They. Location of this hotel is almost perfect, Sirkeci tramway station, Sirkeci train station, Galata bridge, main Sultanahmet area is 5-10mins walking distance. We have stayed at 8 hotels around Turkey and found that breakfast provided by Best Town palace is the best, at least it provides more variety of breads, salads, fruits, eggs, salami. And we really love the beautiful view from the restaurant, we could see the Galata bridge, Galata tower, the Gulhane park and its surrounding. The room is nice. The staff were very helpful and kind, special Mehmed who worked in the customer reception.nice location , view on the golden horn and galata tower, the rooms are clean and fonctional.You can enjoy your breakfast on a terrace on a 5th floor, which opens a spectacular view on the Bosphorus and other part of the city.If I'm gonna be in Istanbul again I choose this hotel because it gave me what I expected of a 3 star hotel. excellent hotel for its price! everything was nice: location, breakfasts, staff. it is situated in a quiet street, in 5-10 min walking distance to the main sightseeings. room was clean, enough comfy to have a rest. the staff was helpful and polite, english-speaking. actually, we enjoyed staying in this hotel and if we decide to come to Istanbul again we will make a choice for Golden Horn Istanbul Hotel. Location couldn't be better with all those restaurants in neighborhood, Hafiz Mustafa pastry shop, and of course all the most popular sights in Istanbul like Top Kapi, Grand Bazar, Haija Sofia, Blue Mosque. The bathroom was too small, but taking into consideration all the positive aspects of the hotel and their service and especially the good rate, the issue of the size of the bathroom becomes irrelevant. We had some problems with the door keys, but the guys did everything to make it work and were really sorry about it. The rooms could have had some hook to hang coats on. Especially in the smaller rooms. There is a construction nearby the Sirkeci train station, it caused dust around the hotel. People are complaining about the noisy of the works, however we only experience it during daytime, and it stops when night comes. so peaceful at night. Too small wardrobe, no crash to hang coats. Construction works in front of the hotel. Rooms are small but similar to what you might find in other large cities like London or New York. The taxi driver had problems finding the place coming from Taksim. Now we are able to give driving instructions. . Its a little bit noise because of the constructions around the hotel. it was a little bit dificult to find it when we arrived to Istambul. - The Elevator is so tiny . - The bed and bathroom are small and not comfortable . - The room is small . - No movie channels in the tv ( I mean english ones or arabic ) . -. there was a construction site near , but it never botherd us, the hotel is more convinient for people who spend most of the day outside. cleanness of the room...when we came, we've found orange peel on the ground and hair in the bathroom in front of hotel is construction, so lights for all night and bigger noise than usual in the centre hard to find for taxi drivers. Breakfast wasn't perfect. And now (april 2013) the constructing of Marmara project tunnel is very close to the hotel and was some disturbing. sink is small. Timeworn hotel facilities, overhead lamp didn't work in our room, washbasin is really small. Small rooms but enough if you need the hotel just for sleep and take shower. Also was noisy because the other tourists talk very loud and the room was right above the restaurant. more importance of sheets cleaning. smal washing hands place. not so comfortable bad for my wife (i have no idea why) not testy sosiges during the brekfast dirty plates in the canteen. Bathrooms are awfully small in some rooms. Not enough shelf space in the bathroom. hotel at very good location but difficult to find..i suggest , it needs very good discreibtion to find easily or signs.. There are not dense curtains at windows, light from the street prevents to sleep. It was too cold in the room. Getting a little dated and ran out of water on one occasion.
