We heard about this hotel from friends. They talked nicely of it so we went there, but not well enough as they DEFINITELY exceeded our expectations. Excellent position as it is near to everything. The personnel is very kind and accomodating. We were given such a warm welcome. When we got to Zurich my girlfriend who was very ill the whole day and throughout our train trip to Zurich was given every comfort she needed and every whim asked she for. all reviews » Great room - very cosy and warm with attractive furniture and the feel of staying in a friend's house, rather than an anonymous hotel room; a lovely place in which to relax. I slept so well in the large, comfy bed, and loved the cosy window seat overlooking the street below. Cute little shower room with Molton Brown goodies! Very friendly and helpful staff, and an absolutely fantastic location right next to the main Zurich train station. This was a great hotel for our three nights in Zurich. The staff were very good, we were able to use a wash service rather than the expensive wash & press service, we didn't utilise the breakfast as this wasn't included in our rate. I unfortunately left my passport in the room safe and they called within hours of us leaving and we were able to return to pick it up. we arrived earily in the morning from the trainstation. It is really great location and it is only about 3 minutes from the main station by walk. The reception lady is ver friendly and offer us an early check-in. I like the design very much. The only negative I would mention is the shower curtain in the bathroom constantly blows in while you're having a shower ( as do most) and given it was quite a small shower this was frustrating, for such a nice hotel I would expect a screen or similar. Check in was on 5th floor a little hard to find. Quite small room. No breakfast. Just coffee corner. Only one elevator for guests and staff. There was no coffee in the room, however you could buy coffee in the kitchen. not sure. Everything worked very well. I did ask for a room facing the back to avoid street noise and it was granted. So happy overall. Nothing!. small rooms. No formal breakfast although a coffee machine and various foods are available on the top floor. A bit too expensive. This was not the management's fault; however, there was construction right outside of the hotel and they started at 7:30 a.m. our first morning and 6:50 a.m. the second morning of our stay. bathroom too small.... Nothing. The price was a little high in my opinion. It was very hot and rooms do not have air conditioning. They however provided a fan which helped. No real breakfast, but it's true there is no space for it. The lack of air conditioning in July made it difficult for comfort. Fan was nice, but only if you were right in front of it. Room a bit small. It was quite hot as there was no air conditioning. Our room was also not serviced during a 2 night stay. no minibar and airconditioner in the room. My room was on the 1st floor and I could hear all the noise from the street below. Breakfast offerings are poor, so get breakfast out. Also, the staff - although lovely - didn't know local information (e.g. where to get Sunday brunch, or how to get concert tickets). No air conditionning not sound-proof even though walls are thick. Breakfast options limited. nothing. Room and bathroom a bit small. Nothing.
