The hotel itself is well appointed and felt more 4 star than 3. The rooms are spacious compared to European standards and well equipped, coffee maker kettle, fridge/freezer and dishwasher in the handy kitchenette. Queen beds were very comfortable and maid service excellent.

Granville island markets are accessible too from a close by ferry for $3.50 and buses no 5 and 6 to downtown stop outside the door. For $2.75 we caught the no 6 bus to the sky train that took us out to the airport in 45 mins. Saved heaps in taxi fairs and was easy. Great affordable place

When deciding on which room to have, I was asked if I wanted to see them and the chap was there within seconds, up to the 5th & 7th floors & back to reception in minutes.   The location is great for exploring Vancouver. It's a short walk to Gastown, Chinatown, Canada Place and one block from Robson Street, with its many varied cafes and stores. From the airport, you simply take the Skytrain to Vancouver City Centre Station; it's a 10 minute walk to the Sandman along Georgia Street. My room was cleaned daily and the cleaning staff again were very friendly, and were accommodating considering some days I didn't leave my room til 2pm! Would def stay there again! Close to the Main Street and within minutes of the sky train!!!
