The location is great for exploring Vancouver. It's a short walk to Gastown, Chinatown, Canada Place and one block from Robson Street, with its many varied cafes and stores. From the airport, you simply take the Skytrain to Vancouver City Centre Station; it's a 10 minute walk to the Sandman along Georgia Street. The tv channels included bbc World. The elevators were fast and we never had to wait long. A good, convenient hotel for a short stay.

I was travelling alone for the first time so felt really lonely and a bit scared, when I arrived at the hotel, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful! My room was cleaned daily and the cleaning staff again were very friendly, and were accommodating considering some days I didn't leave my room til 2pm! Would def stay there again! Close to the Main Street and within minutes of the sky train!!!. We went to a concert at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre and it was literally across the street from the hotel. The bed and pillows were comfortable and they had air conditioning. Also, the day staff at the front desk were great. The staff where wonderful from housekeeping,front desk and the man in the lobby store.They were went out of there way to be polite and helpful.The room was good,had every thing I needed.I was also grateful for the parking. The proximity to BC Place.. convenient to lots of restaurants, pubs, venues. Now that we know exactly how to get there (first time).. quite easy to find and really appreciated the secure parking underground. Close to many different event venues. Bed and bedding was super comfortable...I wanted to stay in bed all day. Moxies and the Shark Club downstairs make it a one stop visit...no need to go anywhere else. The Sandman has a wonderful location - it's close to shopping, Gastown, Chinatown, BC Place. Great value for money. The room was newly finished and the beds were comfortable. Great city view!. Pretty good location with restaurants, the stadium and transportation nearby. Not far from False Creek and playgrounds/trails. Staff was accommodating to our early arrival and late checkout. Sandman hotel was a great location for me, staff very efficient and friendly, I had requested a quiet room and that is exactly what I got....would certainly recommend it. Inspite of the hotel being full of concert goers we did not hear a thing from other guests. The room was clean and comfortable. You can't beat it for the price!. It was clean and comfortable, location was a big factor in our decision as well, perfect. The service was one of the best I've had anywhere . Going to stay again. The proximity to Rogers Arena and the Canucks hockey game was great. Very close for shopping and sightseeing also. Excellent views of the downtown area. Very comfortable bed, nice ammenities (flat screen) tasteful decorations, great balcony off of my room! Wish that I could have stayed longer. The hotel is in a reasonable location to access most parts of the city using public transport or by foot. The hotel also has pool facilities. The hotel rooms where recent & updated. Stylish & modern. The staff was helpful with every question asked, and very accommodating . Friendly front staff. Excellent service in Moxie's Restaurant and Lounge. Close to downtown, entertainment and Canada Line. Security guards were very helpful when my Teen daughter and friend went missing at midnight (and left the premises). Close to Rogers Arena/BC Place Has Moxies and Shark Club Good Parking Only Couple Blocks away from great shopping. Liked that they had parkn for my huge pickup.we were never disturbed once. We r so comn back to this hotel again. the cleanliness and size of my room.....the comfort of the bed and pillows...the pool....moxies for great steak. The location is good. The rooms are quite small but clean and cosy. The hotel's restairant is really good. The hotel was very busy but everyone was very nice. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. economical, great location, comfortable beds and rooms have everything needed, bar fun and good food!. Within walking distance of bc Place Stadium where the home and design show took place. Convenient to Rogers Arena and B.C.Place. Safe undergound parking,good restaurant. We loved our stay - location, room size and service. We'll be back 1 :). Everything was phenomenal would definitely recommend to everyone I know. The excessively loud music in the bar was discouraging. There was nowhere in our room to hang clothes and we couldn.t use the drawers as they were full of pillows and other items. Nothing. The person at the front desk when we checked-in late in the evening was not very personable or engaged. There were small items in the room that made it a bit shabby (big chip on the desk, curtain sagging from undone hooks. loose handles on furniture drawers). There was mold in the bathroom,above the door frame and the grout had some mold as well. The room was very small, but was sufficient for our needs. Paid parking garage was a bit of a nightmare to get in and out of. Also, the elevator to the parking lot had a big line up and there is no way to access it by stairs. The walls could be a bit more soundproof. The toilet was in an awkward location behind the door. Room card didn't always work. In room WiFi was poor. Our comforter was awfully stinky, had to get it changed. We booked a special rate and got a very small room right beside the ice machine. The bar was very busy and loud in the hallways and lounge area. View from room window was just the back of other hotels. On letsbookhotel.com it said that parking was only $15 daily... But upon arrival I was told it was infact $21 daily.... The clerk at the desk actually called letsbookhotel.com to advise them that many customers have been coming in with that quoted price which was apparently Incorrect. Another dislike was that the bathroom in the hotel room had no fan for ventilation. Very small slow elevators and halls. pool could have been a little warmer. Pool area was not as clean as I would have liked. It was a bit of a walk to downtown but not bad. Noisy! Our room near the ice maker and pop dispenser. B.C. Doors slamming and foot traffic throughout the night. Parking Facility too crowded. The brass piece that's suppose to prevent the door from being opened didn't work. It wasn't aligned correctly. I forgot to mention it on check-out. Also a dark hair was on the towel in the bathroom. Obviously not mine...white would have been more appropriate for me!. Only one bedside table. altho somewhat expensive(the parking). Nothing, no complaints at all. Heater didn't work Microwave didn't work. Color of the building ...))). ......the bed was a old and could use a change out to a more comfortable one. False fire alarm. hotel is a little dark and old, compared with, say, the Hampton. Staff stole my water bottle from my room.
