We stayed for a week in October, except for the rainy days everything else was close to perfect. Afterwards we stayed for 3 nights at Hyatt Regency and it really wasn't up to L'Hermitage standards, although more expensive. Great location, quiet and cosy, free internet in the library, wonderfuly decorated. Tip: when at L'Hermitage, always listen to Raymond's (the concierge) gourmet recommendations.
all reviews » the hotel was spotless. they seem to have given thought to every detail - design-wise, service-wise, taste and efficiency. the complimentary breakfast and hor douves are wonderful, not to mention the chocolates we got every afternoon. we have stayed in several hotels in the region - this is by far in a different league all together. we hope they manage to retain the high standards over time.The hotel staff was exceptional - the best service we have ever had (so willing to help and accommodate). The hotel was very modern with excellent amenities (including the library, free internet, offer of transport within downtown). The staff at the hotel was extremely customer oriented and very friendly. Had a great stay in Vancouver, staff were very helpfull, and happy to direct us around the city for a local perspective. On booking out there was an overcharge but this was quickly rectified as I had a printout from my booking. Beautiful place -The suite was very spacious and all of the decor wasvery high tech and high end - I would definitely return and willrecommend to friends. Staff was most accommmodating. Richard at the front desk recommended and made dinner reservations at an excellent restaurant within walking distance.I happened to get bumped up to the next higher class of room, and found it luxurious. Amazing hotel with the most friendly and helpful staff I have ever encountered.The room was beautiful, and quiet, it really felt like a home away from home. very friendly staff, fantastic rooms, clean, modern , very quiet. Breakfast was very good.clean, modern, fanciful. How convenient it is to downtown area. Bottled water in the rooms would be a nice addition. The only small complaint I had was that there was no corkscrew in our room, but by saying that, every other need a traveller could want was in the suite.entrance hard to find and parking to check in. Instructions for T.V. need to be readily available and easily understood. Its fairly new so some of the facilities are not finished. We were asked to come back 3 times to check in - our room was not ready by the check-in time, which caused us to be late and we had to change our dinner plans. We were not offered any compensation for this. The staff were nice but not very professional regarding service orientation.YES! no bar, no entrance, no amenities.... We found it very difficult to control the air/heat. Very noisy and didn't get much sleep. You need instructions in the room. Did call guest services but still couldn't figure it out. Not user friendly.
