Our stay was absolutely perfect! Ms. Kirova at they front desk always remembered our names, and was so friendly. She was so kind when we unexpectedly arrived early, and she helped store our bags until a room could be prepared for us. Her recommendations for restaurants and shopping were perfect every time. all reviews » The hotel was perfectly placed, just a couple of minutes from the s-bahn at Savignyplatz, a non-stop trip of about 35-40 mins from Schönefeld airport, and the u-bahn at Uhlandstrasse. Many, many restaurants within a 5 minute walk, and plenty of bars and cafes. The hotel was outstanding, and its hard to believe that those people who gave it any negative comments actually stayed here. The rooms were immaculate, the restaurant was quite small but breakfast was excellent, and the staff very,. The hotel is in an excellent location: two minutes walk from UBahn and 3 minute walk from SBahn stations. Brand new hotel, very clean and very modern. Room is not big - but certainly big enough for a couple. The bathroom is large and equipped comfortably. Breakfast was very rich and delicious. The dining room was very clean and tidy - the staff took care of cleaning and filling food in a very efficient way. The hotel staff was very courteous, kind and considerate - helped us with every request . Our first time in Germany and the hotel was a very good choice. They were very happy with the staff, the room (ask for a quiet one away from train lines), the location with many shops bars and restaurants around and raved about the breakfast. I saw the room they had and it was clean, modern and comfortable. Seamless check-in. Arrived on 3/11/13 close to 9pm. The lady at the counter who received us was extremely warm, greeted me by name and had everything we needed ready (WIFI passwords, keys, information etc). Room was relatively spacious, very clean, new and comfortable. Breakfast was also good. Excellent service and breakfast, very well located, very closed to U-Bahn Uhlandstrasse (appr. 300 meters) on the Kürfurdamstrasse , very closed to S-Bahn Savingplatz (appr. 450 meters) and U, M, S-Bahn Zoologischer Garten (appr. 600 meters), recently refurbished, everything new and clean. Excellent; front desk and all around staff, breakfast and location-bus 109 for Tegel min walk. Use S7 rail line for central train; Savigny platz and Zoo stations. Decent food options within blocks. A bit noise from the trains passing the hotel, but it din't bother us at all. The only negative point was tha all the twin room arefacing the rails of the S-bahn and the trains rushe every 2 minutes. I can not say that the facts disturbed us much but it would be better to be informed about that fact in advance. The rest was simply great. There is nothing I can say negatively about this hotel except that maybe the space allowed for breakfast is a little cramped-please work on that!!. The place where you eat breakfast is very crowded and not so conferrable. No fridge/mini bar in the room but the hotel staff gave my parents ice on request and kept the blue ice things in the hotel freezer for a cooler I gave my parents. Location. It is not that near the train station (600m walk and with 2 luggages and a hand carry that was quite a pain). Not that near the shopping area as well. Don't get the pizza served here...frozen grossness. Should've known better. There was nothing I did not like. However, I got an extra charge that I do not know yet how it happened. I sent an e-mail and the hotel is checking this problem. I am sure that it will be resolved to my satisfaction. A railway behind the window is a bit annoying, but you soon get used to it. There was no safe in the room but a safety deposit box is available at reception. So not really a problem. Parking was a little pricey but it seems all hotels around the city area charge so to be expected. Nothing. It seems it is customary to leave a gratuity for the chambermaid. (A) this is new to us. (B) the chambermaid repeatedly left her card in our room. We would have preferred any tip to be included in our bill, or at least acknowledged and quantified formally. N/A. Nothing. The only negative is the noise from the train next to the hotel. Close to the Railway, so it might be a problem for the light sleeper, but we got a room facing the garden on request. Beds can be a bit hard for some, but it was not an issue for us. Can't find anything!. Nothing really. Breakfast was a bit of a scrum, but the offering was good and at £65 a double room in a capital city, amazing value. Wi Fi required login on ypu smartphone every time you enter the hotell. The breakfast can be improved further i.e salmon. The SBahn railway runs along one side of the Hotel but even this was quiet and if you were on the other side of the hotel you would not know of its existence. Noisy fellow tourists late at night walking down corridors. Could do with 2 X soft seats in double rooms. Main wing of hotel faces a 4 track railway with frequent trains. Very noisy which meant we could not leave window open. The a/c is sensor linked to the window, which means it will not work if the window is open. nothing to dislike. Nothing at all. There is no safe box in the room. 3.00 pm is very late but fortunately our room was ready before then. No safe or fridge in the room. Internet connection is not as good, as I expected. During evenings the speed was awful. The train was passing right next to the hotel and you cannot keep the windows open. Insulation is good and the train does not disturb you as long as you keep the windows shut. The design of the glass sliding door for cupboard cum bathroom is not one of the best ideas, plus the noise of the glass shaking into the metal while sliding it back and force. The bed is small size, more to single than double occupancy. I would have liked a wider choice of snacks at the bar.
