further away from the crowdiness of the Hanoi city centre and it is much
more peaceful and relaxing living in this district. Our hotel room is
facing the westlake, so the view from the room is great.

The staff were fantastic. Our welcome when we arrived after a very long journey and very little sleep made us feel like we had really started our honeymoon. Only complaint would be that the bar closed very early and seemed to change from night to night.
Apart from that we were very happy.

Plenty of comfortable public areas and a delightful covered atrium courtyard....try the huge afternoon tea - but be sure to have a good appetite and some hungry friends to be able to do justice to the wonderful feast!

I love this hotel. It has cosy rooms yet quite opulent, hip and trendy decor. Attention to detail is great. Staff are amazing, so helpful and nice always. All the things I appreciate - good airco, comfy beds, plenty hot water and good wifi. Not to everyones taste, a colleague found the rooms dark and claustrophobic, but I love the sense of disconnection to the hustle outside.

It's the normal Hilton standard, nothing exciting. But - the
breakfast is superb. All your western and Vietnamese choices. Could
spend the whole day in there, but, staying there for business meant
having on average 7 minutes to wolf down something random and throw a
cup of coffee down the hatch. -

Stayed at the Somerset Grand Hanoi for 4 nights with my wife and 2 young children ages 4 and 8. We could not fault any aspect of our stay. The apartments were spacious and clean, just perfect for a family like us. Breakfast was also very good with a wide variety and the restaurant for dinner is excellent in terms of quality and price. We would return again without hesitation.

I liked my loft-style room with separate kitchenette as I didn't feel squeezed in. having a deep bath was a nice treat after walking all day each day. shuttle bus was a very convenient option and good drop off/pick up spots. -
