Our stay at the Park-view Hotel Amsterdam Located in the top end area of Amsterdam, without the price of a 4 star rates, no night time noise pollution! as your quite a distance from the red light and stag wkend district, great for your shopping needs, good restaurants, easy access to river cruise and trams. (2/5tram numbers) Hotel should be a 4 star as the family run hotel have got it just so right with service. From main entrance hall to your bathroom toilet are Exceptionally clean. Bedroo.
all reviews » The hotel is located in a very quiet and elegant part of town, near a beautiful park. Location is great for those visiting main museums in Amsterdam. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable, and with a nice view on a park. This hotel is ideal if you want to stay in a small and quiet hotel, and yet receive excellent value for money. Probably business travellers would prefer to stay in a different kind of facility, but for tourists and those wishing to stay in a very quiet place this hotel is hig. The hotel is located in a beautiful neighborhood next to the wonderful Vondel park. Close to the museums and great connections by tram to the city center. It's a great place to get away from the hussle and bussle of the busy center and to experience a nice neighborhood of Amsterdam. The hotel is completely new and very clean, the bedroom was very nice, we loved the floor heating in the bathroom, and the house keeping do a great job. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had a great stay a. The hotel location is great, only half a block away from the VondelPark and very close to several tram stops. We did not pay for the breakfast, as there were cheaper alternatives very close to the hotel (Bagels & Beans). The staff was of great help the entire stay, and there seemed to be someone at the front desk at all hours of the day + night. The hotel was relatively quiet, clean, and comfortable. I would stay here again. Far exceeded expectations. Modern decor, impeccable bathroom and bed sheets, location to die for. I had my coffee and pastry in Volgen Park (right across the hotel) every morning. Very close to the shopping area and the museums. staff, so friendly and they literally bend over backwards to help you out. Very knowledgeable as well. The value for the price you pay is unbelievable. Definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. The location is exellent. Van Gogh museum, Rijksmuseum, Concertgebow and Vondelpark are only a short walk. Also boutiques and cafes. It's very quietly here and you can hear birds from outside instead of noise. Plus I didn't hear the neighbours and it was also good. The room is clean and there were a tea kettle, some coffee, tea, sugar and so on. The staff was very friendly indeed. The breakfast was normal. The hotel is lovely and is located near the beautiful Vondelpark the staff was very polite and helpful Just a comment to letsbookhotel.com your translation to hewbrew was a bit off... And stated the minibar Is free, although in fact it is not, the manager was more then fair and didn't charge us for the mini-bar, for pointing the mistake to him... I've stayed on the last floor, the room is big, very comfortable, very clean, excellent shower, the staff were very kind and friendly. And a perfect location: right beside the VoldelPark, you can hear the wind at the trees , and it's so good! Definitely I am going to recommend and come back to Hotel Parkview!!!. We would stay at the hotel again and will certainly recommend it to our friends. Very nice hotel, the rooms have been recently re-decorated with quality furnishing. The situation of the hotel is excellent near the parc and all the museums. There is no parking but you can easily parc your car in a P+R Parking (fashion center) and come in ten minutes with the Tramway. The personal was very helpful and very polite. The hotel is very well located, the staff is great and the rooms are very clean. I stayed in a room on the 4th floor and had an amazing view of the beautiful buildings around the hotel as well as the trees at vondelpark. The room was spacious, beds where super comfortable, bathroom was not big but good sized and designed (could use a certain or glass door at the shower though). For me there were not enough towels. Only 3: 1 big and 2 small. Although they changed it every day. The room was tiny but clean and not nasty anyway. Some problems with the wifi, for some reason it doesn't like Apple Devices... My iPhone iPad and Macbook Air kept disconnecting and needed reconnecting every couple of minutes... The Pillows were too big, my suggestion, offer a selection of pillows in the rooms, or even ask for the guest's preference when making a reservation online... One last thing, a problem with my specific room - no. 202 the bathroom's window wasn't properly isolated and the room was freezing in the morning... The walls and ceiling were thin (typical of refurbished old buildings), so we could hear our neighbor's TV and the footsteps of the person above us. If you can avoid the rooms in the ground floor (001 & 002) because they have no view and are more noisy (just call the staff before your arrival to check). We booked two rooms in the hotel, one twin and one single. The twin was great, just perfect. The single room was extremely small, with a window that didn't open completely. I confess I felt a bit claustrophobic... Just glad I wasn't the one staying in that room. But then again, when you are traveling around, you only stop by at your hotel room to sleep and shower, specially in a city as vivid as amsterdam. Besides that Parkview is an excellent choice! I am definitely going back! Soon!!!. Wi-Fi was slow in room but I was assured it will be upgraded soon. The wifi was unstable, I had some problems working with a stable connection. But the internet is very fast and they are aware of it and are working on it. There is nothing wrong we could say about this hotel. Keep it as it is and again thank you for your hospitality. Pillows a little too high for our liking. Other than that everything was just perfect. You can hear your neighbours talking so soundproofing could be a bit better, but overall if you have quiet guests on either side you don't have a problem. Everything to our liking; excellent value, we would have liked to have stayed longer. Nothing. Everything was fine. I stayed in a single room which was tiny. Perhaps it's typical for Amsterdam, but it was so small that a comfortable chair could not be accommodated. That said, the very small space was efficiently designed and the bathroom was very nice. The breakfast is rather poor. The wi-fi in the room was not always working properly. The ceiling aircon dripped into the room leaving a wet patch on the carpet. But the staff knew and were waiting for a service engineer. But that's all...it didn't detract from our stay. My towels were ripped six inches down the side so it made a bad impression. The towels were also very thin and cheap looking like Motel 6. Need to be bath sheets 30x70inches to feel luxurious. I also was never told where was the breakfast room, the cost or what was available so I never had breakfast at the hotel. Pillows are huge and uncomfortale. I asked for smaller ones and they were provided, but those were awfully uncomfortable as well. Didn't try their breakast, can't comment on that. The washroom door handle came out when we tried to close the door and wasn't fixed throughout the time we stayed. The room was a little small, but then again that's Europe :-). Nothing- but they could reconsider membership of airport shuttle bus service. Inward and outward journeys very stressful for us. Having allowed a huge margin of time for return to airport we only just had time for check in and find the gate. The room I had was very small. The weather was fine so I was out and about most of the time, but if the weather had made staying indoors preferable, this room would have been too small. The bedroom has no aircondioning. Fortunaly, it was hot only during my first day at town. nothing. Room quite small. Nothing noteworthy. Everything was excellent, service, location and value. The 4 steps down to the entrance. Apart from this minor inconvenience, the hotel is highly recommended for this part of Amsterdam.
