Comparing the three hotels I've been in my recent european trip, with the same rates as them, Hotel Omega lived up to my expectations in terms of facilities, cleanliness, service, and I could say that I got my money's worth for the stay there. The girl on arrival was very nice, and helpful. And the tram system in to town was really easy to follow. Breakfast was excellent as well.
all reviews » Great location! Quiet backstreet behind Concerthall - very close to Museuemplein. Rate and location. The hotel is close to the museumplein and easy to reach other places by public transport. The staff were friendly and helpful, things like my remote control not working were dealt with efficiently. The breakfast was excellent value for money.The reception desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Please accept my special appreciation to Metin on reception. My parents and I found the gesture irrespectful.The breakfast services were not on the top, not enough staff and not very polite. size of room for money. I was not satisfied with the bad, it was very uncomfortable and should be changed for better one, it was very old, I guess. furnishing of room is old. Not good value for money. The church clock, in the neighbourhood, ringing every hour. To get the luggage out of the storage was not so easy. Chinese food smell early morning.In-room safe did not work and was not fixed during our stay in spite of reporting it. Church bell bothered us the first night, but we got used to it. the room was small. The nearby parking at 15E per night did not exist. We had to pay 38 per day or park away. The hotel blame letsbookhotel.com and say it's nothing to do with them. The staff were evasive and unresponsive to any request. Was promised free internet but had to pay 5€ pr/day. The breakfast was not very good. staff were unfriendly; hotel safe didnt work; the church bells directly opposite rang every hour and half hour, which was not mentioned by the hotel and made it difficult to sleep. the room and the hotel was very stuffy.Room was very small. Double bed was very small for two people. Church bells were audible all night. very unfriendly staff, poor in price breakfest and dirty room. Booked a double room but was given a very small twin room but told that was what we'd booked (wrong!), the church opposite rang bells every hour even during the night, no contents in mini-bar or kettel/hot drink facilities in room, staff very misreable and abrubt, ordered a taxi through reception (eve before departure) which never turned up causing a panic to get to airport in time for flight home. everything, Staf where unfriendly, surly and unhelpfull.

Travelling information

From the airport (Schiphol)
By car:
- Follow the directions for Amsterdam.
- From the 'Ring Amsterdam' take exit S108.
- Turn right and follow the road.
- Turn right at the Citroen garage and immediately left at the traffic lights.
- At the small roundabout take the second road to the right.
- At the fourth traffic light turn left.

Parking:
The hotel does not have private parking facilities. However, parking in the street is possible (10 min. walking distance). Costs: EUR 3.40 per hour. You can also park in the sidestreet next to the hotel. Costs: EUR 2.10 per hour. A day ticket will cost EUR 18.
From there, you can reach the hotel by tram (stop Jacob Obrechtstraat).

From the city centre:
Take wherever you are the tramlines 2 and 16 (stop Obrechtstraat), 3, 5, 12 and 20 (stop Concertgebouw). Of course you can always ask the driver to warn you at the right stop.
