From the moment I stepped at the reception desk I had a great feeling. The receptionist to start off was warm hospitable, friendly and informative, i felt like could ask about anything related to my holiday and could get an instant answer. Check-in was fast and smooth.I stayed in the king room on the 2nd floor. The room was very clean, spacious, relaxing and fully equipped, I was very happy, it felt like moving into a brand spanking new house. Universal studios (Island of Adventure) was my main.
all reviews » Keep this name in your head: Shy! An excellent employee who just opened the doors of Orlando with a smile and with a sympathy that we won the first second we arrived at La Quinta. The hotel has excelent facilities, is clean, offers good parking, has a shuttle to the parks and has a large bedroom, perfect for those who go shopping in that wonderful city! And the location is prime, very close to Universal Studios! Another advantage: no charge for receiving orders coming from Amazon and they are v. The design was modern. Clean room upgraded tv. Convenient, very friendly. I must add, your front desk personnel were exceptional. They were nice courteous , and informative. One young woman I. Particular , Shy is here name. P.M. Front desk is the friendliest young woman. She anticipated my every question before I had a chance to ask and offered up a solution. We were so very pleased. We were in town for the McCartney concert and my wifi was acting up on my phone maps and she took the time to ma. The staff was great and very accommodating. We arrived earlier than our check-in time and because there was a vacant room available, we were allowed to check-in. I requested a firm mattress and the bed was very comfortable. The rooms were clean. Also, we did not have transportation accessible; however, there was a trolley that goes right by the LaQuinta. For $5.00, you can ride it all day. We traveled to the Outlet mall, to dinner, and got to do some site seeing, all on the trolley. The rooms were really comfortable, bathroom was always clean, the service was great! Fridge/ Microwave and coffee maker were in the room which is perfect for your needs! Continental breakfast was so good! Debbie and Evan at the reception were super helpful and always friendly! I definitely can recommend this hotel which is absolutely close to Universal studios. The most unbelievable receptionist who answered all my questions before I asked them. I think her name was Shy, she was without doubt the best receptionist we encountered in our entire 30 day holiday. Hopefully management is paying her properly as she would be an asset to any 5 star hotel. We spent two nights at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and willing to help at anytime. The room was clean. The continental breakfast was OK. We didn't expect a whole lot more. Good value for money. Everyone was so nice and offered help if we needed it! It was a wonderful trip ! It always makes it better when you are around friendly people! The staff at the hotel was so kind , friendly and so very nice!. We were stopping for 2 days before moving on with roadtrip.. good hotel.. friendly, comfy beds, close to universal studios. Food basic but enough to start your day.. I would stay again. The only weak point of the hotel is the small size of the room for breakfast ... and the breakfast is very simple! We chose to shop at Walgreens and prepare the coffee in the room! Is the request to the direction of La Quinta to improve this aspect, is what is needed to make the hotel perfect. Nothing. can't think of anything. Far from Disney park, no free transfer there. n/a. Breakfast may look a bit strange for European visitors (being still acceptable). After 10pm finding a parking spot was very difficult (I always found one anyway). cleaning staff vacuming the hallway at 8 pm. Bit worn out Old stuff everywhere. Can't think of one thing. the rugs on the main floor were dirty. No dislikes!. The breakfast is served early, from 6h to 9h, and the checkout is until 11h. Some noise from the hall from pets and young kids could be heard inside room. The girl in the morning at the check out time was a little bit rude. Breakfast overcrowded sometimes. Better selection for breakfast and more shuttles to universal. too long of a line for the 2 waffle makers; which majority of people wanted for breakfast. Bed Bugs!. There was no bus for the airport. Everything was great. The outside doors leading into the hotel were not locked. The shuttle service for Universal doesn´t work very well. A/C shut off automatically during the night and had to be re-started. Bed too high, only one chair, ac was not working right. Fire alarm was beeping, we called maint and he disabeled it and said maint. Would be in the next day, which did us no good as we were leaving. This was an unacceptable safty hazzard that we were very uncomfortable with and the man who answered the call did not speak english. This was very frustrating and scary! I told the front desk as we were leaving and there was no offer for compensation which I feel was warrented. Humid room, not very clean. Bad breakfast. Bad wifi. Bugs in room.
