For the purposes of my particular trip, the staff were excellent, the amenities were superb and it was value for money. Extremely happy with everything. A shuttle bus, laundry, internet etc were all things I needed for being away from home for so long. Hotel as clean, convenient to Universal, Walgreens, Starbucks, restaurants. Small but nice relaxing pool. Breakfast was wonderful, nice options and plenty of food. Service was excellent and helpful. Very happy with this hotel.
all reviews » The rate was unbelievably low, especially with a full, buffet style hot breakfast. The location couldn't be better, nestled between the I-4 and The Fla Turnpike. For the money, the best hotel I've ever stayed at. General helpfulness of staff, always willing to answer questions. Good variety at breakfast! Local phone calls are free!. early check requested and granted - nice free continental breakfast-close to Universal-free shuttle-big clean rooms-nice staff. The location is excellent, however it is still not close enough to go by walk to Universal parks, as described by hotel. If i'm being really picky, I'd say the noise from doors and other guests woke me up in the mornings. Nothing. Only disposable plates, cups and cutlery, what a waste of resources. nothing not to like. We had to go 4 times to the reception because our keyes would cease working constantly. The carpet had a weird smell. Bus to go to universal only held a certain amount of people then you had to wait for the next bus. My suggestion would be to put a certain amount of passengers available at each time frame so large groups of people are not waiting around. Maybe 15 minute intervals. Nothing. Nothing. Popcorn ceilings. Irritated that it was advertised as having a free shuttle to Universal Studios, which it sorta did, but shuttle only ran two times in morning ( 8 and 10 am, and two times at night 6 and 8:20 pm) forcing you to spend a looong day at the park. One day I went to 'cinematic spectacular' ( Universal's 100 year movie-making anniversary light show ) which did not even start until 8:30 pm so had to take taxi back to hotel. Misleading advertising I think regarding free shuttle service. Terrible loud noise from ice machine in hallway- EVERY morning woken up at 5:30-6:00am! Also air conditioner leaked and wet carpet! Also,beds were doubles-when I asked for and was told Queen-size!.
