If you're in town for a city trip, spending most of your time out, and just want a stylish, clean and comfortable hotel in an excellent location to sleep and get ready: this is the place for you. If you'd rather have a hotel bar to wind down at night or an extended buffet breakfast in the morning: it is not. We found the Mave to be perfectly suited to our needs and as we'd expected it to be (going on the hotel description and other reviews): our King room (806) was well appointed, extremely cle.
all reviews » The staff are all so nice! When u are a guest at the Mave u are treated like royalty. Even my dog was treated like a princess! Plus the rooms are beautiful, modern & very clean. The beds are so comfy! If u need something all u have to do is call the front desk & no sooner do u hang up the phone are they at your door with whatever u need. Amazing service! Excellent location! I would stay at the Mave every time I need to stay in Manhattan. Location was super and so was the staff everybody at the reception were extremely helpful and generous. Cleaning lady was very sweet and did a good job. They even helped us keeping our luggage after our checkout that made it easy to move Around without any baggage. Everything is awesome. I think a tea/coffee machine in the room will just make this place more awesome. * Front desk manager and his team supported in an excellent way during check-in to check-out. * Very good location for safe and practical stay * Just accross the street, a market called Essen is selling everything you need to eat. Hot plates, fruits and cakes, any beverage you like. That was a life saver :). Therefore you receive street noise through it and difficult to adjust desired temprature. Breakfast room was a little bit small. Noise, but it's hard to find something quiet in New York. The space around the bed was tight and the duvet was a bit worn meaning the stuffing was patchy. On check out day the hotel was booked up so we didnt have an option of a kate check out which was a shame as our flight was late at night. Step up bathroom can pose a surprise in the AM when you've not yet gotten your eyes fully open A bit noisy. When we arrived our room was too small for two people so we had to pay a little more to get a normal size bedroom. Breakfast should include orange juice besides pastries and coffee. price is too high , rooms are really tooooooooooooo small even though we took the biggest room, and the furniture are not at all neither kids or adult friendly, u have to hit your toes five six times a day in the bed. poor internet access. Breakfast room is cramped at present. They are renovating the area in lobby and have converted a penthouse to serve as area for their fresh pastry breakfast (grab and go, some seating available). The room was noisy as isolation is not very good. Turning on the AC/Heating helped though. a bit noisy given the location - make sure to ask for earplugs. Sometimes took hot water 20mins to heat up Bath towels on the small size. The breakfast was "grab and go" so thats not really what we had in mind.Cleaning can get better. Small selection of breakfast meal (just few kinds of muffins and croasants). Small room. breakfast was a bit disappointing - albeit - we knew it was just pastries/coffee, but they ran out of pastries/coffee cups. after a bit of a wait, there were a few donuts brought out and more cups. just be aware it's really just a bite and coffee. good enough to get you out the door in the morning. noisy aircondition, very low speed of Internet. Nothing not to like. Great place. Small room (but her it's central NY) air con was quite loud. The bathroom, although not that small, was very uncomfortable. Together with the fact that the shower wets the whole floor, the bathroom doesn't have space to contain the personal belongings. Personal care products and clothes equilibrate on small shelfs. A few more hooks and shelfs within the room definitely would enhance our stay. Also the air conditioning is very old and makes a lot of noise and its filter doesn't seen to have been clean for a long time. Poor breakfast. Drilling in the street for the whole evening and night during our first night there... Continental breakfast. Breakfast room was in the penthouse suiit as only coffee and pastry for breakfast; not real place to sit when busy. The fact that we have requested an extra cot for a third person on the first night only and they had told us no problem just request it at night time before you go to bed so you have more space in the room. When we finally go back to the hotel at night and request the cot they told us that they didn't have any and that the employee in the day had misunderstood. N/a. Need cheaper parking arrangements. the only negative thing is the price a bit to high and atleat my room was a bit small. The room was just a bit small for three adults with big suitcases, but we managed alright. Would have been nice to be able to make ourselves a hot tea or coffee in our room too. Made the mistake of clucking on 1 pax option on letsbookhotel.com and got a tiny room. The problem was that letsbookhotel.com mentioned the room size as 15 m square, which it was not. But this is a negative about letsbookhotel.com and not really the hotel's. very very uncomfortable beds (unless you like super soft matresses and super super thick pillows, then it would be a plus) and very very small rooms, a bit pricy even if booked well in advance. Very small reception and room. Very noisy and poor isolation. It's far too expensive. New York is just exaggerated in general. The bedroom was quite cold and noisy. I think the window wasn't best isolated. Rooms are VERY small. One bad, maybe a suitcase. Big noise in the rooms - a gap in the window between the air conditioning box and the window Bad beds - very soft and uncomfortable mattresses Very bad breakfasts - there is no breakfast room, you have breakfast in the lobby and every day only the same buns - horrible. extremely cold and extremely noisy. Awful breakfast. Why is there no double glazing on windows to reduce noise pollution- even on 9th floor, the city is LOUD? And aircon unit also very loud and noisy- also difficult to lock out light with blinds. Best to party all night!.
