It's a typical Hilton. We stayed here for the last two nights of our two week holiday as it was very close to the lax and return car hire depot. Check-in was easy and fast, we used the self parking option, the car park seemed to always be quite full, we had to drive down to level 5 or 6 every day, this option was $25 a day. Make sure you take your initial entry ticket to check-in and they will change it so you can go in and out of the car park as many times as you like with out being charged ex.

Close to the airport after a long haul flight and close to all the car rentals and Hertz have a booking office in this hotel (although the Hertz office was closed on Sundays). We were able to check in a few hours early without problem, and the room was comfortable, clean, and nicely furnished. The bed was fantastic. Airport shuttle came in a timely fashion (which was great given our 6 a.m. departure time). Nice big hotel with friendly staff, large clean and comfortable rooms. Housekeeping was very helpful with additional sugar and coffee requested. The incredible service and the executive lounge was a nice touch. In addition the staff at the front desk were very accommodating and offered assistance when I needed a document scanned! Truly going above and beyond. I asked if I could grab something to eat in the restaurant and she said sure and looked away, didnt direct me in the direction of the restaurant! I felt like I was being dismissed! Disapointing. The hotel is one block from the airport runway so noise was an issue from the aircraft...at least in my room overlooking the runway. Great view of the planes though from 16th floor. There are probably better values for the money, but the convenience was worth it. A refrigerator in the room would have been nice, and (not surprisingly) the food available through the lobby store was hugely overpriced. Our room wasn't made on the first day and semi made on the second. Breakfast is expensive. Limited food options after 10.30pm. Free airport shuttle is code shared and small so it's gets very busy and cramped. The tired grouting around the bath and not having free wifi in the room but I am struggling to think of dislikes in what was an exceptionally priced quality hotel. Worse thing for us was the WiFi charge PER DEVICE of US$13.00 pero day. At this time and age internet should be free of charge. There is free WiFi in the lobby but was always packed with people trying to connect to a faily slow internet. Parking is additonal US$17 per night. Too many extras charges in my opinion. The shuttle service was a bit slow on one occasion. Although the internet is free in the lobby, 12.95$ is too much for having it in the room. Parking is also expensive, however there is a parking lot just the near of the hotel, thus you can pay 10 bucks less. Breakfast is also quite expensive, way too much. (open buffet). Nothing. Price of the stay itself was reasonable but the charges for incidentals was outrageous. $36 to park for a couple of hours, $28 for <30minutes on the internet (in business center) to print 7 ot 8 pages. I. Nothing. The bathroom door was off it's sliders and broken so was difficult to close which means that the bathroom didn't have a lot of privacy. The pool was a bit more dip pool when I was hoping to do laps. There was no free wifi in the rooms ( only free in the lobby). The door to the outdoor area was really hard to open and needs repairing as it is not on the runners properly. Huge lines for check in. Nothing not to like. No nose tissue dispensers in the room. No folding luggage stand. Everything else was fine with the stay. no free wi fi in the room. An extra charge placed on my Visa the day after i checked out. Hair clippings from a previous guest on the floor in my bathroom. Room Safe would not lock. Radio did not work in room, water regulator knob in shower was worn and needed servicing, walls were thin and could hear noise from neigboring room. A lot of the elevator floor buttons where broken and I was a little concerned that there may have been an electrical wiring exposure issue - I hope they are fixed now because there seemed to be many that were broken in all lifts and lobby's. the small bathroom and the lack of a walk-in shower. For me , the location was far from my target , shopping and down town Los Angeles . Very practical if you just arrive from lax or will leave day after. Airport really close. This means however quite noisy rooms on airport side. Almost impossible to avoid (jumbo jets taking off 300m away make a lot of noise and the best windows cannot block everything :) ), but simply do not suggest this hilton 100% if you are planning more days. One of the valets out the front was rude and officious. No free wifi in rooms . Smaller chains like quality inn, holiday inn & even Marriott offer this. The parking fee its too much for a day $27... No bar fridge. The hotel is a bit old, the room was a little beaten up. But was clean so this is not really a complaint, just an observation that should be considered. The distance from down town LA was long. Wouldn't be suitable for a holiday in LA. perfect for the airport only however. Internet in room was only with a fee, the air conditioning was noisy. The cleaners forgot to empty one of the wastebaskets which was unpleasant to find (someone else's garbage). Had to pay a lot of money for wireless in the room. Didnt realize it wasn't included. At this day and age it really should be. from LAX to Glasgow to Sydney to Beijing, Hilton breakfast scrambled egg is dry and awful - although full marks for being consistent I suppose. The front desk and mail room gave me bad information and didn't want to help resolve it the 1st night had to speak to management to get stuff situated. And you have to pay to park even if your staying at the hotel it's 27dollars over night. Nothing.
