The location was absolutely fantantic just 7 min to causeway Mtr. Also the ocean park in one stop just take bus 72 72a and 96 they ll charge 4.7 hkd each. The place was very close to sogo u can reach in minimum fare if u dont want to walk indian resto rang mahal, alladin mess a just behind exit a of Mtr and mirch masala is next building to sogo. All in all a pleasent stay. Northing to dislike very helpful, friendly staff and hotel clean modern and budget priced. Situated overlooking Happy Valley race course, near to shopping malls, taxi, short walk to train system. We have stayed before and would recommend to anyone.

Good location, rather big room for HK hotel, pictures suit the real room! Refresh ice tea, peanuts, chips for free, service people help with everything, call the taxi. Booked this for a non-smoking hotel but the hotel constantly smelled of smoke. Complained to staff but nothing was done. If a hotel bills itself as non-smoking, they should take measures to ensure this such as smoke detectors in rooms; otherwise it seems useless to say you are a non-smoking hotel. Unfortunately staff can't help with knowledge of sightseeing's location. internet is super slow. Got two beds, only one check in so usually hotels give a double. Hotel location is a little far from the Causeway Bay MTR Station. However there is a Ding Ding Tram Stop right in front of the hotel that could also bring us to many sightseeing places. In your room you can here everything , that's happening in the hall. room can be biger. the hotel guests (from China) that smoked in the room and polluted the whole floor ;-@. No bell boy assistance available. Bath towels are not good and hygenic. Out of 3 rooms we stayed, one room was very small. We booked and paid for a family room via letsbookhotel.com but we were informed that there was no family room avl in vela upon check in. This is very misleading and frustrating. The hotel is 5 mins walk from the mtr exit but you still need to walk more than 5 mins before you can reach the train station. Long wait to check in. Air conditioner turns off when the card is being pulled out and not allowed to have another card. Poor service, housekeeping inefficient. staf, facilities. Bad staff attitude, poor environment, insecure luggage locker(My luggage lock has been broken after keeping in this hotel).
