Cheap, clean and very helpful staff!. Friendly helpful staff, good cleaning, breakfast (egg, bread, muesli, fruitjuice, milk, ...), handsoap in room, luggage service, staying in een 2-persons room for the price of one (has been made a mistake at the booking), allowing a good friend of mine to visit me at the breakfast room. really great location - a stone's throw from the main train station, the cathedral aand the city centre. no need for taxis!.

It was well located close to the train station. I did not find the noise to be excessive, but it is true that the walls are thin. None, was great for my money.stumbling noise in the middle of one of the nights, . the only drawback, and it was a minor one, was having to share a khazi, which is a bit inconvenient, although it was perfectly clean and well stocked with bumwad.Toilet not in room,not really a problem though. The bathroom not being ensuite wasn't ideal but i knew that about the hotel when i booked. No lift, shower and toilet shared. the room was very cold. Not such a good standard för that price, I know better hotels at the same price range, in the same area. But I booked late. Breakfast not that tasty, but normal... No controll för TV. over priced. The heater of bathroom was broken that night. So the water is cold. Andthe heater of our room was also broken too. No elevator / too expensive / poor breakfast. the value for money in cologne is terrible - we paid more for this hostel than anywhere else and we have stayed in some very nice places. stay elsewhere and just visit cologne for the day!. it was too much cold to sleep in the room.No lifts; I was on the third floor with a large case. Also, en-suiteshower but miniscule shared wc.
