Flat was perfect. - Brandnew, modern flat - Spotless clean - New, comfortable bed - High-end equipment (TV, Blueray-player, Music, cooking, coffee-machine...) - Friendly staff - Superb location (close to Hauptbahnhof and all landmarks) - Bakery around the corner for breakfast. This apartment was perfect for us for 2 nights. We could cook our own meals, relax and use this as a base whilst exploring the region, as it is so close to the railway station. The people who run the apartments are also very nice and helpful.
all reviews » The apartment was within easy walking distance from all shops, the Dom, Christmas Markets and the railway station. There was a very friendly welcome when I collected the key at reception. So great a apartment with heater. Good location. Friendly staff. We cooked ourselves. Very convenient. Location was perfect for the Christmas markets, only a very short walk to town. Apartment is located on a shopping street with supermarket and various places to get take-away food. Apartment was functional and spacious. Parking space within walking distance (but too far to walk with kids and baggage!) Excellent Wifi. The appartment was spacious and big. Very confortable. Largeish apartment, nearish to the centre of Cologne. I can't really find any downsides, honestly. There is indeed no 24H reception, but you know this in advance and in case you arrive later then the opening-hours they work out a solution. The door of the apartment is a little hard to be found. Parking place is also a little hard to be found. Parking is a con, it is 12 euros per night whereas street parking is the same price and free on Sunday. The kitchen had everything except a microwave which was surprising for such a good apartment. The construction work that was under way behind the sleeping room window (ground floor). No elevator, walk from office to apt a little far pulling 50 lb suitcase but worked out ok. had to climb a floor with luggage .difficult!!! no free coffee provided although there was a coffee machine:-(. Unfortunately the pictures of the apartment when booking did not reflect the actual apartment, which caused some disappointment on size and layout. Sofa(beds) in the lounge and bathroom stank of old smoke (although officially a non-smoking apartement). No hot water in the kitchen! Very small amount of equipment (plates, glasses, cutlery etc) in the kitchen - much was also dirty. There were 4 wine glasses, but all different! Microwave needed to be moved to be able to plug into a socket. One of the beds had a poor quality matress. Curtains in the bedroom were cheap and didn't close very well. Badly tuned TV; no international channels. The person at the reception didn't speak German, this is very inconsolable. Area seemed a little run down and slightly seedy. The apartment was not a studio as booked but a multi-roomed tiled floor apartment in a block of other private residences. Was difficult to find as non-descript door next to what appeared to be a broken window. Disappointed as did not reflect the pictures on the website.
