all reviews » The apartment's management office was very easy to find just steps from the main train station and the staff there was very friendly. The apartment itself is very spacious and on the ground floor so we didn't have to lug our bags up flights of stairs. It was within easy walking distance to the Dom and all the sights in the town square. The bed was big and the bedroom and bathroom were on the inner, courtyard wall so were quiet and felt more private. The refrigerator was large and having a d. the reception is very nice,but the letsbookhotel.com don't mention that,the department is 1mile far from reception ,and if you got a heavy luggage ,it's not easy to go there,or you can ask the reception to arrange you stay nearby ,it's two streets to the reception, the room is clean,and the apartment administrator is a non English old lady. the location is near the main railway station,Metro,many snack shop,so if you don't know how to cook,you can feed yourself in there. This was a very large one bedroom apartment with all the amenities needed in the kitchen. It was very clean and comfortable and has two sofa beds for the kids. My teenage boys liked that they didn't have to share a bed. It is close to the train station and all the attractions the city has to offer were within walking distance. There are several restaurants near by and a laundromat and grocery store right across the street. location is really great.near to koln train station,supermarket,restaurant,bars are all around. and we attended the trade fair in Dussedorlf, it only take about 30 mins to Dussedorlf main station. Apartment is specious ,clean. especially i love their living room,kitchen and balcony. Staff is friendly is helpful. Great location by the Dom and in the city center. Lots of shopping, restaurants, and pubs within a very short distance. The apartment was nicely furnished with many of the comforts of home, including free WiFi. As as added bonus, the apartment had an elevator. A really nice stay here for 2 days.The hosts are very kind to charge us with the latest price(which is just half of the price comparing with the one when we booked). The check-in location is quite easy to find from Koln Hbf that just 5 minutes of walking. Staff very helpful both on arrival and departure. The place where you check in is kind of hard to find. It is a little souvenir shop. Not quite what I was expecting. the only thing is the shower 's hot water is not stable. sometimes too hot and sometimes too cold. there were one thing we faced is one day we came back to apartment around 10 o clock in the night, and we found there were no any electricity power inside. we contacted their staff,they come to check everything, but it was late to call professionals to repair. that night, the owner took us to another apartment nearby, let us to shower and sleep. and they fixed the problem next day. Would be useful if apartment had bath soap and shampoo. nothing. Too noisy from the street. Picking up the key from a separate location from where we stayed. The toilet paper is scratchy, but there is a grocery store close where you could purchase better. The kitchen is little bit small for cooking. Kitchen basic with two hobs. No shelf for kettle and toaster and had to use them on Thr ground. For a 70 yr old that isn't ideal. Only 2 of us stayed but room for 2 couples of 4single People which wOuld make it v cheap. Suggestion - maybe put in a washing machine and dryer as we needed one as we were on the road for a few days and had a baby.....also more kitchen bench space was required. As common, do not like preauthorisation of money. But it is not so rare practice. A bit noisy but it is other side of being close to the sation. Staff couldn't figure out if my payment had been processed or not for several days. Things turned out well though. We stayed in Handelstrasse 49. Bathroom: smashed light bulbs in the vanity and it's a bit unbelievable that the cleaners wouldn't have seen this. Black-out curtains are undersized, so only 80% of the window is covered. This is a big problem because the area is flooded with artificial light. I hope there where be a washing mechine , iron and dish washer , Ac ... Reception in diffrent location ... The thing I didnt like about it was the fact that the parking was not in the same location as the actual apartment. I reserved parking but had no clue that it was in an entirely different part of the city. We ended up parking in a garage 2 blocks down for 30 euro. i was there on saturday night, below my room was noisy as there is a bar. 1) no air conditioning, we were freezing in the apartment despite it was end of summer - beginning of autumn 2) no shampoo 3) the bedroom was so small that we were hitting our luggage (there was no other suitable place for such big bags as ours). Staff should have told us how to do check-out when they are not around. We have to wait for staff to come till 9AM in morning to checkout. Too much noizly Small bathroom A little bit hot in the summer. There are no safe. The Wi-fi connection speed is awful and sometimes not existent. The Hotel send you to a different location 5 min away from the station.There is no breakfast, nether anywhere around, so you must walk 5 min to the station or to other hotel. Some lights in the room were not lighting up. Some utilities like the bathtub have damages. The floor was pretty dirty. The location posted in the website is for the reception. It is different from the apartment's location. 1. They didn't clean up our room 2. A lot of penalties if .... 3. We stayed there for 3 days, nobody changed our towels. not a proper bedroom bed stuffed in a corner against a wall. no bedside table or lamp. kitchen equipment poor, wardrobe door dropped off as was lots of skirting board hanging off, kitchen doors not fitting properly not what you would call comfortable just barely adequate. it was very nearstation. I informed the staff that wifi didn't work on the first day of my stay. Phoned them several times next days. It remained broken during my whole 5 nights stay. Minimum Services. It was inadequate for 3 people.The ensuite had no toilet (!!)and toilet was in entrance corridor hence children had to come to our room to use shower etc., and we had to go through theirs to use toilet! All rooms had missing light bulbs and we couldn't read at night. the shutter in our bedroom was broken and we had to sleep in bright sunlight and noise. There were only 2 glasses, 3 cups (one of which was chipped) and 2 plates. It was terrible. Poor external signage and directions from the city office made this apartment difficult to find. Dark and smelly entrance hall from the street to the apartment complex not a good first impression - broken shower handle took 2 days to fix and kitchen appliances in poor condition. Window's curtain Bathroom Heater doesn't work Too dark in lobby. Pictures do not reflect the actual accommodation, bit of a walk from the office, the area was rough, the apartment block was unsightly, they gave us the wrong keys and the apartment was substandard; not 100% clean, running taps and a bit grimy. Staff were not interested in feedback. Not recommended... Not even going to start. Disgusting. I have Done many bookings with you and have never been disappointed, this was terrible.
