Attention to detail in every aspect of the quality of the accomodation. The cutlery was even lined up in one of the kitchen cupboards! Very well trained and presented staff for who nothing is too much trouble. Location is only 10 mins walk to Karama Metro. I had a 7th floor large studio room with balcony looking towards the towers in Sheikh Zayed Road. I am a regular traveller to Dubai and this is the best of the 7 hotel apartments I have stayed in. .
all reviews » The location was perfect for us as it was near Al Karama shopping centre which was a key activity during our stay. We were also about a 10-15 min walk from the metro which enabled us to easily get to the other shopping malls and tourist attractions such as the Burj Khalifa. There is a great pool at the top of the hotel along with a gym which was never busy and looked very new. The size of the apartment was huge with a balcony, the kitchen very large and well equipped, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom large and decorated well. Value for money was very good in a place that was generally very expesive. Location was good close to metro and big bus as well as close to lots of reasonable restayrants. We arrived at 10am and the hotel managed to give us a room straightaway which was greatly appreciated since we just had a 14-hour flight! The bed was big and comfy. Staff is helpful. The hotel is not far from the metro station (I would not recommend to walk there with your luggage though as it's really hot in Dubai!). An excellent hotel/apartment, with only one grouse. As well as airport pickups and drop-offs at very reasonable prices they also provide a free shuttle bus service several times a day to various useful locations around the city. Room (suite) was exceptionally spacious and very well serviced. very clean, modern rooms, comfortable beds, TV, very nice bathroom, kitchen facilities in the room, roof top swimming pool with great views, free shuttle service to major areas (malls, beach etc.) , supermarket just next door, airport collection at any time, excellent value for money. Very helpfull staff. Location good. Metro nearby and taxi to most places not expensive because of location. Room good size. Pool on roof was excellent and clean and wonderful view of Dubai, stayed at Raffles pre trip and their pool was too warm and the view wasn't as good. The one bedroom apartment was spacious - bedroom, lounge, dining and kitchen. Although the Winchester is not particularly close to the cities' attractions, the free shuttle bus takes guests to nearby points of interest or the Metro station to allow travel further afield. The apartment was well equipped. Bed was comfortable and bed linen was changed daily by housekeeping. Staff were very helpful with any questions that I had. Swimming pool was excellent. It was on the roof with fantastic views to Bur Kalifa and beyond. Everything, I will definitely stay there again in the future. Also I am going to tell all of my friends going to Dubai to stay there. The view from the room was wonderful, the swimming pool really clean, and the pool area well mantained. I could not fault the Winchester. We arrived at night and we were welcomed. Staff were very friendly. We were upgraded to a two bedroom instead of a studio for free. I wish I had my boys with me to share the other room which was empty. We booked an apartment with 2 bedrooms and a lounge and due to problems with the air conditioning, we were initially put in an apartment without a lounge which did not suit us at all. As recompense we were given free breakfast for the 4 days of our stay. I asked to be moved the following day to an apartment with a lounge, but we had to wait some time for the room to be ready. Trying to find out which switch operated which light took a bit of doing. The bedside reading lights switches were both on one side of the bed. Wifi in the bedroom was expensive but free in reception. everything was perfect for us except we had to go in the lobby to have internet. The write-up said it has a restaurant and coffee shop. It doesn't, only a breakfast room (which we didn't use so can't comment on quality of breakfast, but was reasonably priced at £5). There is a sister hotel about 10min walk away which does have restaurant according to staff. Hot water heated by individual electric heaters and is dangerously hot - beware!. needs wifi in the rooms, (only in lobby and very slow). Staff didn't tell us that you had to turn a switch on to get hot water, didn't ask until last day and then we had hot water, should be a sign saying turn on for hot water. Breakfast good but not hot, they don't seem to understand that you need to light the flame to keep things hot, it was only very luke warm. The kitchen was poorly equipped when we arrived with many items identified on the inventory not actually in the drawers. Also some some additional items particularly containers to use in the microwave would be useful. The light switches did unexpected things and even after three days we still had not worked out what some switches did!. Nothing. Nothing really but only a suggestion to maybe have some light pastel colors on the room walls to elevate dark furnitures. No restaurant. Nothing. We like the place. Nothing, everything was great. No restaurants or room service available with the hotel except for breakfast. I dont think i have any comment about this part. nothing not to like about this accommodation. Nothing. wished we could have stayed longer. Wi-fi is only free of charge in the reception/lobby area of the hotel. It should be either accessible in the bedrooms free of charge as well (like in the most of the hotels) or otherwise have a designated area/room in the lobby to avoid the reception/lobby area to be overcrowded with guests using the facility. Nothing in particular. It would have been nice if we could have more TV chanels. Bathrooms way too cramped - real shame, beause the bath was otherwise comfortable. Breakfast needs a revamp. Could have done with wine glasses and a bit more kitchen ware. Kitchen equipment - minimal. No sharp knives, wine glasses or corkscrew. No dishwasher or even a teatowel. No restaurant or room service facility available. poor breakfast and shortage of sun beds on the roof at the swimming pool. towels, linens should be of better quality. nothing. The stuffs need to work on there attitude especially the ones at the front desk.i think the are Racist. Extra room keys are never available. Only 1thing I would have preferred the cooker to be properly cleaned them maybe I would have used it. Nothing. We did a lot of shopping and just put them outside of the suitcases. Apparently the cleaning staff touched those things although nothing went missing. It was not very nice experience. Breakfast and the room it was served in was not the same standard as the rest of the hotel and accommodation. Surroundings, don't expect a luxurious accommodation. The food for the breakfast is poor and not suitable for breakfast. Furniture's are bit old, needs a change. Giving 1 key to the apartment wasnt enough for four people.....so when some one goes back to the hotek he had to ask the reception to open up the app>>>>.
