We like the design and comfortableness of the room. It was totally surprising us as it was much more nice-looking interior design, and provided a very home-like feeling to us, different with the room we stayed last year. The breakfast was also tasty with quite a variety. We were very satisfied for the staying this time and will definitely choose to stay again for next year, if same room-type.
all reviews » -The location is amazing if you prefer walking around rather than using cabs or buses, as it is a 10 minute walk from the Petronas towers. -The prices are out of this world cheap, which no one can object to, especially given the great condition the hotel is in. -The Canadian pizza place in the lobby, supplies great food for good prices. -The view of KL from the hotel floors is superb. Super large, clean room and facilities. Excellent view of the city of KL - beautiful at night. Large bedrooms and fantastic air con in each room. We enjoyed the stay very much. Small selection of shops below ( 7-11, tour companies, massages etc). Breakfast was excellent- great variety. The kids loved it. It was nice to have a small living area with a sofa and coffee table. Also, the balcony had great views of the towers. I liked the location as it was in one of the modern distracts and don't mind walking 30 minutes or so to get to the towers. the areas around china town are much less clean. I got what I paid for. Nothing fancy, but nothing too bad. Service was not outstanding but no hassle, no trouble. Highly recommend if you just looking for a ordinary place to stay, especially if you intend to spend most of the day out. The two bedroom apartments were spacious and had a feeling at home. Never felt so comfortable in our travel. Very friendly staff, good breakfast and good view of the twin towers from the rooms. Amazing !!. Convenient to my appointments...Very large room with kitchen and the Staff were very helpful....Great outdoor pool on the 6th floor...No Pool towels. Gym also on the 6th. Rooms are clean and tidy and the interiors are good, Discounts should be given to the regular guests atleast two bookings per year should be treated as Devilla member. Zarina the manager and the lady heading the housekeeping were very kind. the two bedroom unit we were moved into on the second night. The room is spacious but there is only one toilet. The mirror in a room is facing and reflecting the bed, that is quite inauspicious for Chinese, but we used a cloth to covered it, so, not a big problem. -There is no variety in the breakfast buffet. -The towels that are supplied daily, don't smell too fresh, which is weird. -the really hot water runs out a little too quickly, then it becomes warm, not too bad, but could be better. -Not many tv channels, and not too clear. Not close to shops. Had to catch a taxi ( but only a 5-8 min drive) to Bukit Bintang. Some taxi drivers had trouble finding the hotel as its on a long main road. The LTR station was quite a walk meaning that I had to get a taxi to the Sentral station. I visited over the weekend, but I can imagine the rooms would be quite noisy at rush hour during the week. This could be true of all places in KL though... The shower head did not work and sometimes the towels look too old!. None. Rooms were twice as Big as normal with Kitchen but were very Blau....Needs simple upgrade with a designers touch and maintenance.Sliding door broken + other little nuiances. Value with upgrades would make this an ideal spot. Stayed in China Town next two nights in a Hotel 50% smaller but delightful at 50% the cost. Can anyone fry an egg without 16oz of oil. Reception should be atleast in a 4 star category . Entire reception area to be revamped. Outside fountains colour lightings for the building and paintings to be done . Garden works should be done properly. All the best. Bed was a bit small for my size. There is no free wifi internet in the apartment just by cable. also, there is no free wifi internet in the lobby just in the resturant and it was not working. No hot water in the shower - it's just slightly warm. Building is a bit old... Only LAN connection is available and the management should include wi-fi connection in the apartment room. However the carpark attendant was very rude. No elevator from car park B2. Need to use staircase to B1 and then take elevator to lobby. Make sure you drop the baggage at lobby before park your car. the only difficult i faced was whenever i ask a taxi guy to take me to d villa they didn't know the place even though i was showing them the business card of the hotel. But then i found out if i tell them holiday villa then they understand the place and agree to drop me from wherever i am. Unfortunatelly maintenace was scheduled so electricity was out for one night (No airco). Parking attendant and their rude behaviour. 1.TV Channels very poor and Sat,Chanells almost didn't exist. 2. Very poor quailty of food offered for Breakfast and the dinning area is not even adequate at all. Only a small thing, not enough food stall around the corner. 1- Room cleaning not so good, staff are careless to clean if you did not tip them. 2- hotel needs to pay attention and think more times to keep the tour desk person, because he is fooling the people which reflect the hotel image. limited hour for f&b service. House keeping/apartment cleaning. You will also find some racists in the lobby & D-Villa residence should do something about this. So far nothing. Hair dryer didn't work. Shower leaked excessively. No balcony as stated in reservation. Free shuttle out of service. Limited lounge space at pool. Tourist department. No bar. WiFi only reception. Parking lot at the basement. I don't feel secured to walk alone. stuff generally friendly but some of them not very helpful - infos where to by tickets for hop-on bus completely wrong - arranged taxi to airport small and overcharged - no wifi in room (that is written but that is normally overlooked) - promised wifi in public areas shut down in the evening! - you cannot print out anything - if you just have wifi devices forget this hotel (sorry young people) - room had thresholds to the kitchen where you can hurt your toes. The hotel is falling into pieces. Needs some major preventative maintenance. It is also understaffed resulting in grumpy service. Really bad breakfast buffet for a three star hotel. I Did not get thhe room I booked, no balcony no living area. The room lock did not work and needed staff to let you in although they did nothing to fix it. Limited hot water and the water leaked all over the bathroom floor. Limited toiletries for this standard as well as TV channels. breakfast is the worst I have had in 30 years of travelling. Bathroom needed a complete renovation, the kitchen hot plates needed replacing, torn curtains, blood soaked mattress, too expensive for what was on offer. No free wifi in rooms, just in the lobby. there was no free wifi available. Hair dryer didn't work and no balcony as stated in confirmation. No fridge. The apartment is fairly furnished, but no washing machine. Poor breakfast. With less money you can get better accommodations in other nice locations in Malaysia. Noisy A/C, it was almost impossible to sleep. dirtiest of sofa. the lift system where when want to use lift mush bring along the card..the problem is the card was provided one only.. The fact that you have to pay upfront. Two Air conditions were leaking and one had problem with temp control. The breakfast variety was the same every day. The first impression on entering the reception is tacky decor with staff looking tired. When I checked in I didn't realise I would have to visit a GP and get an anti allergy shot on account on bed bugs. The breakfast is horrible, I have never ever had such a bad breakfast. There is not a single nice thing about this hotel. I would not recommend it to anyone. I wish the management would make effort of lifting the place. It is so dilapidated and in desperate need for repairs. breakfast was poor strong smell of tobacco in the no smoking rooms. The staff is not so friendly.No greetings at the front office.The room is not as describe in the internet.There is not much variety at the cafeteria during breakfast and is not value for money. It was an old building, renovated but not very clean and maintained. Water block on the wash room and only one AC remote for the whole apartment.. Quite out-dated In need of refurbishment.
