    I arrived quite late and kitchen as already closed. Still it was possible to have a small bite to eat. The room was in 1 word great and the design of the complete hotel, pub and restaurant is outstanding.     We were greeted by the owners father on arrival, who filled us in on all the necessary information of the local village Hillsborough and how to get to Belfast. We then met David the owner, very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are beautifully furnished and there is a real home atmosphere, like your one of the family. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and evening offered to share a bottle of wine with us on the Saturday night, which we sadly had to decline due to family commitments. The breakfast was terrific, well-cooked and presented and all locally sourced. A perfect example of the famous Irish hospitality.

    I attended a black-tie event at the hotel, but the suit hire people included trousers that were far too small!!!! I told the receptionist about my dilemma and it was not long before they miraculasly found a pair of trousers which amazingly fitted perfectly!!!
