Staff so friendly and helpful, every member of staff was chatty and helpful- outstandingly good. Location brilliant, free parking great. Room was quiet,clean and comfortable, shower good and strong. Nice breakfast. Bar was lively with good entertainment. Bottled water in room was Nice touch also. I love it here. The hotel is lovely, has character & the rooms are large, clean, well furnished & decorated .the staff are friendly & helpful. Even the locals in the bar were welcoming. The food is excellent & a good price. I cannot fault anything.
all reviews » The hotel decor was very luxurious. It almost felt like it had a Titanic theme! The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked and I especially enjoyed using the leisure facilities - pool, sauna, steamroom. The whole hotel from reception chech in, to the room ,to the food, to the bed and bathroom, to checkout, fantastic. Staff in all areas of the hotel just the best I've met. Newry is the friendliest and most friendly town in the uk. Staff so nice friendly and helpful. The eoom was huge. The room was ready so we check in 2 hours before which we appreciate because we had a restless 2 year old. We will be back. We liked the friendliness of the staff and the people, the whole area in general and the shopping facilites were very good. The location was ideal for our business. The service was old fashioned and person centred. The food in the dining room was wonderful and plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble. Huge well appointed room. Great central location within the city. Parking behind the hotel but had to get there early for a space. Quick check in and out and friendly staff. Its right across from the bus station so was easy to find. Staff where friendly an willing to help. Rooms are big an clean and will presented. Staff very friendly and helpful throughout our short stay,only 1 night for a funeral so booking etc all last minute but presented no problems. A regular stop over on business trips. The baby pool was a little to cold. Not applicable. The room had everything we needed and was clean but thought corridors and rooms needed a bit of revamp. It was fine but I just thought the newer hotels I stayed in have a more bright and funky feel although the hotel did feel like old charm style and well maintained. Rooms can be a bit hot (no air con) and they run a nightclub type thing on Saturday night and its noisy and drunks are around at 2 am, yellin. i should have stay for more time. could not find fault. Inconvenient parking but I understand you have a popular venue with limited space. I was in room 118 and the Wifi signal was only good close to the door. The gym opened at 7 and it would have been nice to open at 6:30. This might sound funny but there seemed to be an odd odor in the elevators. Thankfully I had no problems taking the stairs. Had booked a table for 7:30 pm for dinner, had to wait for almost an hour before we were seated at table. While waiting we had a drink from the bar and my husband had a pint of Guinness which was 1 pound more than the downstairs bar !!. Awakened very early by bus station activity across the road. Limited parking space No European electricity adapter available Charging £ 20,- more than agreed price through letsbookhotel.com 'by mistake' : not professional. The welcome from a member of staff at breakfast, was very unprofessional. Nothing. Nothing. No criticisms. the town is boring. a bit pricey. need to clean out their draught beer pumps. No problems. Because it is the towns main hotel parking can be a problem at busy times at the weekend.The hotel is aware . residents being charged into night club, couldn't find parking space, though there were 3 functions on. Could not turn down heating low enough over night. Nothing. the parking it's a nightmear anyone can park in the hotel spaces if they are staying there or not so we arrived early just to get a place it happened us before the last time we stayed there a few years ago that is the only bad thing. we asked for a smoking room , & requested it when booking our stay and didnt get one. showerhead fixed-have a disability so need to be able to direct head. Noise in bar. none of these.
