I attended a black-tie event at the hotel, but the suit hire people included trousers that were far too small!!!! I told the receptionist about my dilemma and it was not long before they miraculasly found a pair of trousers which amazingly fitted perfectly!!! That is what i call service, without their help we could not have attended the event. Thanks for your speedy assistance and lovely manner!!!.

Good food.It was painless. the original beautiful sitting rooms/breakfast room/ and reception....staff were very polite helpful, but non intrusive....the setting a fabulous views of belfast lough, and all in easy reach of belfast/bangor. the rooms are exceptional, especially the beds. warm friendly staff. The ambience, the liesure faciities, the room facility, staff were heplful yet discrete. Friendliness of staff, view of gardens from room, food at wedding reception.Hotel was perfect - we were attending a wedding there. Swimming pool and leisure facilities, dinner in the Mitre restaurant.Breakfast should have been included in the price.Excellent location, relaxed atmosphere, good spa facilities. staff were prety good. delivery van at 6am and noisy neighbours in room above and doors slamming maybe from close by wedding party. Our rooms were noisy in the early morning as we were sleeping above a srevice entrance. Also they were near a suite where a wedding was being held, and so were noisy late at night. perhaps these rooms 509 and511 should have been allocated to wedding guests. Maybe pool area could have certain times reserved for over 18s. Signs for the hotel were poor, as a first time visitor, the signs for the spa were more prominent than for the hotel and when driving along looking for the hotel I passed the entry thinking it was the entry to the spa and expecting to see a hotel entry sihned clearly.i have stayed recently on 2 occasions, and on both had something to eat in the culta inn, the food was adequate, a little dissapointing on both occasions, the first time i was a little embarressed as i had invited a friend (who works in the hotel industry in london)....and i had memories of the formal dinning room in the culloden years before, and the food being excellent!. there were no cooling facilities in the room. the residents bar closed too early. I requested a quiet room as Im 7 months pregnant, however I was woken up by slamming doors several times in the night. I think that any room rate should include breakfast rather than just for the room. Paying extra for breakfast would infuence me returning to the hotel midweek for a liesure break. We think there should be a better choice of casual dining e.g., a bistro menu. A "thankyou" after Qn 4 of this profoma would be appropriate rather than fairly up front advice on how not to respond!. A little expensive. I find the 16-20 pound cost of breakfast expensive.We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a suite. We stayed in theClock Tower and found the mattress on the bed uncomfortable -considering this is a five star hotel I found it disappointing that themattress was so uncomfortable. The bedroom we were provided with had ahuge king size bed, but it seemed to be two mattresses joined with aseam in the middle. The seam had a "bump" effect. There was blood on our bed linen which was dissapointing but this problem was resolved immediately once reported. After paying an extra twenty pounds for a larger room I was extremely dissapointed with the size of the room we were given as it was of an average size. only one bar of soap in a huge bathroom!buffet breakfast was a bit agricultural !. The heating radiator had broken on 'on' so at midnight when returning after a dinner out in Belfast, nothing could be done until morning. So windows had to be left open all night, in order to survive :-).
