    Its clean, the owner is amazingly hospitable and friendly. They make sure we have what we need for the overnight stay. The room is very comfy and feels like you are sleeping in your own bed. Thanks John for the wonderful 5 start service. - I really enjoyed the stay. I felt "coming HOME". It was one of my best Hotels ever!     It location was perfect and the locals were the best. Interested and very very friendly. Made us feel very welcome and the food at the Harbor Bar just down the street was fabulous!     Thought Vanessa was fantastic, really put you at ease and was very friendly. Room was excellent as was very big with an ensuite.     I arrived quite late and kitchen as already closed. Still it was possible to have a small bite to eat. The room was in 1 word great and the design of the complete hotel, pub and restaurant is outstanding.     We were greeted by the owners father on arrival, who filled us in on all the necessary information of the local village Hillsborough and how to get to Belfast. We then met David the owner, very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are beautifully furnished and there is a real home atmosphere, like your one of the family. As we were not fully aware of our way around Bangor directions and information was given even though not directly asked for (i.e. films on at cinema, places to eat).     The hotel is an old coaching inn with a lot of character. We were made to feel very welcome. The room that we had was very large and comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent.We can recommend the fruit pancakes.The hotel is a 30 minute drive from Belfast and there is easy access to the surrounding countryside. The location is excellent, and we enjoyed the walk along the seaside promenade to restaurants for dinner so lovely ... a highlight of our stay in Ireland.
