The hotel is an old coaching inn with a lot of character. We were made to feel very welcome. The room that we had was very large and comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent.We can recommend the fruit pancakes.The hotel is a 30 minute drive from Belfast and there is easy access to the surrounding countryside. Because it is an old coaching inn the access to the parking can be a bit tight if you have a large car, but we were okay with our Mazda 3.Overall staying at this hotel was a very enjo.
all reviews » Situated in the pretty village of Moira, the guest house offers the best of both worlds- quick and easy access to Belfast on one side and Northern Ireland's stunning countryside on the other. The staff were exceptionally friendly, the family room we had was immaculate and luxurious. We will definitely be back here again!. The staff were the friendliest I have ever met in the hospitality business and nothing was an effort for them. The room was modern and immaculately clean and breakfast was a delight with fresh ingredients locally sourced. The place is a hidden gem and totally recommended. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They reserved a place in a local restaurant for us that was relaxed and had good food. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed and the guesthouse itself, a listed building, had old world charm. A great little Hotel nice staff rooms were very good and clean. The breakfast was freshly cooked and good quality products used. Moira is a lovely little town and has good bars and restaurants in walking distance from the guest house. The stay in Moire Guest house was very comfortable.Tim and Alice could not do enough for us. The room was bigger and nicer than some hotels that we have stayed at. We would recommend a stay at this lovely Guest House. Beautiful renovated listed building with storied history. Friendly staff, great breakfast and very reasonably priced. Just two doors down from Moira's main nightspot which also serves meals during the day. I was made to feel very at home - nothing was too much trouble and having asked about where I could eat as I was arriving at 8pm, all local possibilities had been checked in advance of my arrival. Very Friendly helpful staff Clean with very good amenities in bedroom,bathroom Very handy to shops and railway station and buses to go to Belfast Generous breakfast very good value. The guest house was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend the guest house to friends and family. Very impressed. Thank you. The hotel is nice, clean and in a good location but it was the manager that that really made my stay exceptional. The guesthouse was perfect for our needs & suited us ideally as a base to visit Belfast & attend the Bruce Springsteen concert. A short motorway spin from the city, it's secure parking was a strong additional bonus. The parking inside the courtyard was tight due to it's being originally for horses but there was parking outside the guesthouse on the street also so this wasn't a problem. Nothing. The room was too hot and it wasnt possible to turn off the radiator or leave the window open. Nothing. As a mature couple the climb to the allocated second floor room. The staff did offer to help with our cases!. We managed quite well with the over bath shower, but a walk in shower would be helpful to mature people. A beautiful home with a lot of history. Great ULSTER FRY for breakfast!!!!!!!. The entry to the car park is very tight but the manager did offer to take our car in and out fot us. Front bedrooms can be noisy. parking was a problem for people carrier. Entrance in and out of guesthouse carpark - an inch left either side of Duke car. Nerve wrecking but possible!!. nothing. The entry to the car park is too narrow for cars to safely enter without damaging the was paint work! There should be a warning on the web sight. My booking was not on her system when I arrived!. Having to open the gates each morning, and having to find stones to hold them open when it was windy !!!. Noise from party goers. Not a lot really - could ensure that utilities room door is kept closed. Despite generous quantities of tea, milk and de-caff coffee no ordinary coffee for two nights and unable to find anyone to ask for any. Problem with shower - there were only hot water). Noise from club at night. No facility to dry towels. Shower screen let loads of water out.nowhere near enough hanging space. No facility in bathroom to put anything e.g. shampoo toothpaste / brush etc.
