We loved everything. Stylish and spacious family room (2 adults, kids 8 & 9) with all real and comfortable beds. Relaxing mix of antiques and modern conveniences such as free wifi. Absolutely astounding breakfast - I've had hundreds of hotel breakfasts and this is the very best. From perfect porridge & honey, to rhubard & natural yoghurt, to pancakes with chocolate, to selection of herbal tea leaves, to all the traditional items. We'd nearly have paid the rate just for the food! .
all reviews » The hotel was relaxed and the opportunity to chill out in the lounge with afternoon tea provided was very nice. I noticed some other guests - particularly children seemed to really enjoy it. There was ample seating and it was bright and airy - good for reading or chatting!! The location was good too on the way to Muckross but near enough to town to walk. There was a lot of menus of local eateries available in the lobby too which would have been very useful had they been pointed out to us...we. The hotel was very clean and looked opulent from when you walk in .The owner was friendly and very helpful. Maureen in the dinning room was brilliant and was always there when you needed another cup of coffee. The room we had was lovely and looked amazing and what a huge bed we had .The bathroom was huge with twin basins which was great.We would have no problem in coming back here and recommending it to others. Town centre was only 10 minutes stroll and the location was in a nice quiet area . The hotel ambience is superb. They have made a great effort to personalise the hotel so as not to look like a "me too" chain. Great breakfast in very pleasant surroundings. No big line for breakfast was welcome. Room was very well furnished with nice antiques etc. The 4 poster bed was a bonus. Next time I'll take my wife. Hotel is 5-10 minutes walk to the centre of Killarney. We had booked for a Deluxe King Room, but we were pleasantly surprised to have been allocated a four-poster suite, complete with a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom! We decided to book 4 nights at the Earls Couert House Hotel and am so glad we did. Nothing was too much trouble - all the staff were friendly and professional and the owners Emer and Ray were so helpful (especially Emer who has the knack of offering 5 star service in the most friendly and unassuming way) The breakfast was unbelievable - a real treat. The tiled bath in our deluxe double room looked totally remodeled with deep tub, towel warmer and plenty of counter space for us to spread out our toiletries. Hotel was lovely with staff very helpful with maps, suggestions and directions. The breakfast staff hustled, cleaning tables in a flash as guests poured into the dining area. My cooked to order omelet was excellent. We were pleased with everything. We liked pretty much everything about this hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The suite/room we stayed in was spacious, clean with an air of grandeur. Breakfasts were excellent catering for everyone's preference with an extensive menu and personal service. The extra consideration of providing free afternoon tea/coffee and cakes for the guests is a welcome and generous bonus. I loved the luxury feel of the Hotel. It was full of antique furniture and also had a feeling of being light and airy especially in the sitting room which had a lovely aspect and where I spent many hours reading the books on the history of the area. The room was amazing, very big with a huge bathroom with both shower and bathtub. The position is perfect to visit Killarney and to start the Ring of Kerry. Breakfast was very good with a nice buffet and the possibility to choose a complete dish from a menu (the irish breakfast was lovely). The building was beautifully furnished and kept. It is a close walk to the city center, but far enough away to be quiet at night. The room was lovely, with clean comfortable beds and a large, updated bathroom with all the modern conveniences. We genuinely loved everything. The rooms were quite dark although we weren't there that much. Also my husband was very disappointed that there was no black pudding on the breakfast menu. He also thought that the poached egg he got was microwaved. However all in all the breakfast menu was very extensive and varied. The cistern for the toilet was over the wardrobe in the bedroom , so was noisy when someone flushing the the toilet especially during the night. Nothing. Everything was very good. Will definitely stay here in future. There was nothing that I disliked at this hotel. Not one thing. Nothing that I can think of. The only area that I would say needs improvement is the balconies on the front of the hotel. They were not really very attractive from inside the room which was a shame as the attention to detail in the rooms was 100%. The matteress on our bed was a little too firm, so I was tossing and turning most of the night. However, I fully understand that the hotel can't cater to individual needs in this area. More pillows would be a bonus though. Nothing to dislike. Nothing- it was lovely. Nothing. Nothing. We liked everything about the hotel. nothing- all was good!!. None that comes to mind. Nothing not to like. No complaints at all. the fact that we could only stay there for one night. I loved everything; the location was a little far from all the touristy stuff, but it was a lovely stay. That we were only staying one night!. We actually did not get the opportunity to stay but only one day. I have no complaints. If I have to give a negative comment all I can come up with is the silly micro bars of soap that all hotels seem to think sufficient. Can't find any faults with this hotel. going home !. Rooms were too hot on arrival and having to que for your toast was annoying although it was a lovely breakfast. There should be two pillows per person, not a cushion and pillow. Just saying all this to help you improve. There was no fault with any area. nothing. Parking lot was crowded but that was more about the other guests taking up two spots. Nothing.
