Hotel Le Cavalier Du Moulin fees like a charming apartment in an 19th century downtown building. Rooms and en suite water closets are spatious and well kept. Room temperature was perfect, and the beds and pillows were very comfortbale. Hotel staff we very accomodating our late arrival due to a cancelled airline flight. perfect location in the old city half-way between Chateau Frontenac and the Parliament Bldg, close to all attractions and points of interest; very quiet at night; great shower; large, spacious room; great Wi-Fi connection; excellent cafe next door for breakfast.
all reviews » This was a lovely hotel above a souvenir shop. The young receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean with lovely french windows that opened to view beautiful Quebec City. Great location. You can walk everywhere. They kept open for us when we arrived late. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We thought we would have to share the bathroom but we had our own and the room was large. Quiet & good-a/c. Location was superb Rooms (we needed to switch rooms one night as we made last minute reservations and our first room wasn't available after the first night) were comfortable and clean. No elevator - I was on the 4th floor No staff available from 9pm to 9am if there are any problems. no chair in the room, the toilet bowl moved when you sat, no hair dryer. It was also managed from a souveneir shop and didn't have its own restaurant or consierge. No staff after hours, someone was banging on secure door at 3 am as if locked out. If staff there at least during high profile events, this would have been avoidable. Instead, guests woken up in middle of sleep. I never opened the door as too risky. can't thinkof anything. The staircase was a little wild, but it's an old building, therefore forgivable. Climbing all the stairs to the third floor!. My wife and I are both seniors. Hotel page on Bookings,com did not mention that room is on top floor. So going up at least twice daily was not easy!. Would like a breakfast - even a voucher with a nearby restaurant. The room was rather small. no elevator to 3rd floor room. Mattress. -Old-looking facilities -Found someone's hairs in the linens (yikes) -No reception after 9pm. It was old but thats part of the charm. Very old decor and slanty staircases.
