  Quebec is such a lovely old city, and staying in this charming B&B complemented the old-world atmosphere perfectly! Stepping inside the hotel, and on into the room, is like taking a step back in time, only with all modern-day comforts provided. The history of the building, told to us by the very kind owners, is really fascinating, and our host... what people say » s were very helpful and welcoming. We truly felt at home staying here (or, more accurately, dream home!). The breakfast area is quite picturesque (eve - Hotel is small, more a B&B. Charming old house dating back to 1800's. Filled with Victoriana. Room was quite small with small bathroom, t.v., etc. But furnishings really interesting. Everything spotlessly clean and room comfortable. Very good and ample continental breakfast. Location very good for Dufferin Terrace, rue St. Louis and shops, restaurants, etc. They recommended Cafe de la Paix, 5 minutes' walk, very good. Language no problem. Parking is offsite, 2-minute walk away.

Our nights were co - Le Chateau de Pierre is a charming small hotel in the center of Old Town. It is in walking distance of great restaurants and the Citadel and museums. The room in the hotel was comfortable and the owner was a gracious hostess. Min was especially helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to do. Breakfast was included and fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, and a variety of beverages were offered. She even called a taxi for us at 4:30 in the morning. I would highly recommend this hotel.

She makes the breakfasts herself and does a fantastic job. Her English is very limited and you definitely need to speak at least a little French but it's good fun! She welcomed us in right away, helped us with parking, offered us something to drink, and gave us directions to where ever we wanted to go.   The location of this charming, boutique hotel is excellent. On a quiet street, but steps away from the Frontenac and promenade. We enjoyed several waterfront picnics in the Jardin immediately across the street. The staff was wonderful and went out of their way to make us comfortable. I have visited Quebec City many times and this was definitely the best location that I have stayed. It is a short stroll from a quiet and relaxing room to the many sites, shopping and incredible tastes that can only be found in Quebec City. The owner has furnished it with antiques and lovely carpets and drapes, the opposite of a chain hotel.
