Perfect location inside walls in Haute(upper)(Vieux) old town Quebec City with parking garage across the street ($16/24 hrs). Nice breakfast in restaurant downstairs. Rooms simply furnished but ours very comfortable, obviously recently painted. Clean, extra pillows, toiletries in room, blackout curtains on windows. Air conditioners installed during our stay. As there was a vacancy, our room upgraded without extra charge. Much nicer than I expected for a budget hotel, this place is run with prid.

Choice out of 3 different plates: pancakes, toast and eggs. Parking in front of the hotel. Nice employees. Inside the walls of old Quebec and close to everything. We stayed in a private room with shared bathroom, but it ended up that they have shower inside the room. So basically you only have to share the toilet. Location was perfect. The staff were gracious and friendly. The breakfast which was included was very good, convenient. + Location: downtown, at 2 minutes by foot from the Château Frontenac. Location is right in the middle of old Quebec , a short walk to anything. No parking. - We had to pay tips for the breakfast, because this meal is subcontracted by a restaurant. - Room not enlighted enough - Insulation is poor, in September it's fine but it may not be the case during winter. Bed for couple are sharp for 2. I suppose the room was small and very basic, but we weren't expecting anything different than what we got. We have stayed in boutique hotels in Quebec City before. The tiny rooms and widely varying personalities of the proprietors is part of the charm. Nothing major. Bathroom a bit small, wifi didn't work in our room but it did just outside. A little small. Room is small and you can't close the window curtains to block out the sun light without blocking the air conditioner. We had the hotel confirm twice that they had a place to store our bicycles yet when we got their the staff seemed surprised and suggested we leave them in the hallway chained to the stairs. Luckily we had a first floor room and were allowed to bring them into the room. rooms are small and without bathroom. stairs to 4th floor steep and no lift. but all in all good. room is not warm enough.
