the most enjoyable aspect of our stay would have to be the "apartment-like" feel of the room. we had a small kitchen, wich provided us the ability of spending less eating out every day, considering the price-tabs in london restaurants. in addition, the hotel has the perfect location for those who intend to move around the city mostly by tube. it has an underground entrace only 2 min away. The location was excellent. Our apartment had recently been refurbished to a VERY high standard. By far, the best value for the money in London. The staff is available 24 hrs. a day and were very friendly and efficient. I would like to keep this the best-kept secret in the city but that wouldn't be fair to all the other travelers out there!.
all reviews » I only chose Royal Court because it was close to my appointment destination in London, however I have stumbled across a great hotel and when visiting London again I will stay again for sure. friendly staff (we were offered the room even at 11 o'clock in the morning when we have arrived), good facilities (fully equipped kitchen), easy access to tube and bus. very very nice room, big and comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, what I have got was a studio, so there was even cooking facility. It was wonderfully clean and pleasant, and I much appreciated having kitchen facilities. The decor of the corridor the apartment was on was very tired and looked dirty but I understand renovations to the hotel were in progress. Noise from the street and noise from other guests on the floor above. Old/ poor finishing and furniture. no chest of drawers in my room, staying 11 nights made little awkward. Tv's need to be updated. booked a double or twin on website and would have preferred a double - got a twin which would have been ok but the beds were "top and tailed" but as at was news eve hotel rooms were scarce!. bar was being renovated,closed. The toilet was a bit of a concern, as it sometimes needed an hour or so before it could flush again.We could not get in to out room at 2.25pm which I think is unacceptable.We were going to the Eric Clapton concert in Hyde Park and had to leavefor that pronto. Unfortunatley this meant I could not freshen upbeforehand and had to leave my bag in the store room. Rooms were clean - decor a bit tired.Noise from outside moning vehicles. We were facing the street and traffic noise was extremely loud, almost as if a window were open, but it wasn't.Very used. Bedroom smaller then Dining room. Old Bathroom. Thin windows on street side - noisy. Smart hotel reception but landings and room looking tired and in need of decoration and new carpets.The bedding wasn't changed everyday and the toilet/shower was thesmallest I've seen.
