The gracious way in which we were welcomed and the expertise in checking us in. We appreciated the character of the hotel and the way in which it has been upgraded, but kept its character. We were very pleased with our experience and have already recommended it to someone going to London in April. Friendly and helpful staff, nice clean rooms and great location. It is within walking distance to Oxford Street, great restaurants and both the Underground tubes and airport tube station.

The staff was extremely helpful - it is not easy to travel with 2 children and 1 infant, with two prams and assorted luggage, but we got the best service. Smiles all the time.The room I was allocated was in the basement and a clubroom for a veryreasonble price. The facilities inside the room were excellent includinga 37" plasma on the wall. Extremely reasonable price, leaving the guest with choiuce of whether or not to have breakfast in the hotel. Very well furnished and comfortable room.Location and price were excellent. The room was a good size and the staff were very helpful. I would stay there again. the area of that hotel is quiet and not far from the underground. The hotel is also comfortable and not loudy. The staff were helpful and responsive, the room was very comfortable, we had a twin room, two twin beds making a king; the shower was wonderful, a rain head shower and a slide shower, ample size for my husband and myself (we are not small people; the room was inviting and had chocolates, robes, slippers, fruit, wine coffee, and all sorts of little niceties such as soap, bath gel, hand lotion etc.the hotel was very close to everything and its position made sightseeing and shopping easy the hotel is situated in a very nice area and my daughter and I always felt safe even late at night. We were upgraded to a club double which had an enormous and comfortable bed. Very clean and easy walking distance to Paddington station and the Heathrow Express.Very close to Paddington station so didn't have to struggle with luggage for long. When I checked in they upgraded me to a club room with queensize bed etc.. Excellent. the staff were extremely helpful and allowed us to check in 5 hours early..they even upgraded the room for no extra cost to allow us to check in.Excellent value for money. I noticed some of the reviews were not particually good, the room was compact but I really could not fault anything. The rooms were great for the price. So enjoyable. The breakrfast was good too with helpful staff too. A totally delightful stay . Great hotel in an excellent quiet location, actually felt like you were not in London but still really close to a tube stop. Rooms were just right and decorated/presented to a high standard. Didnt have any need to deal with the staff apart from check in/out as everything was perfect. There was a large non double glazed old bolt locked window low to theground and on the fire escape. Felt a little uncomfortable for securityat first. The ensuite was very small but ok for someone my size, no goodfor larger people or a couple. In a small, compact room a very heavy chair, awkward to move around. Shower was very small.Prefer option of another pillow in wardrobe...they were a bit flat and rugged. Room was nicely decorated but because it was so small the dark wood made it look darker, where as pine or white wood would have reflected light more. room a bit too small. Map on Booking.com was a few blocks off of where the hotel was. aircon did not work but its only minor. no. too warm. The satelite TV wasn't working the night I stayed. When we first checked in we were told that our booking had been cancelled. It was soon sorted out however and we were given an upgraded room. The room was comfortable, but would probably be quite small for longer stays.I didn't realise that if you book directly through them, you are entitled to a free room upgrade if there is a better room available upon your arrival. This is something that wasn't applicable to myself as I didn't book directly through Best Western's website. Room size is a little compact. The shower is too small. its little bit far away from victoria.the bathroom was not brilliant. looked nice but basin mixer was wobbling about. water sprayed everywhere. cpould not get cold water... very small bedrooms.
