Great location! This hotel is 10 minutes walk to the Skytrain and to the Express boats to get to the Royal Palace and other city centre sites. A night market is also close by. The hotel was full, so we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a deluxe room which was spacious and comfortable. The hotel was spotless and the staff were polite and helpful. This hotel is in a good location with easy access to all the sites and is good value for money. Tip – if you need stamps, go to the Shangri La nea.
all reviews » It is very convenient to take Sky train and ferry to airport, shopping center and the sightseeing places, like the Grand Palace. Only about 5 minutes walking way on feet. There is a food center close to the hotel, very tasty local foods. Staff are friendly and helpful. Got upgrade superior room, moden bathroom, queen size bed, value of money. Will stay in Bossotel next time. The location is excellent, close to water tansportation, many massage centres along the street. In the Silom area you are close to Starbucks, the State Tower (same building as Starbucks), where you get a spectacular view of Bangkok, and many restaurants are in the area too. Great breakfast range at the hotel, again all over excellent value. Excellent quick check in. Booked a standard room, has no window, but we didn't mind as it was somewhere to lay our head before we flew home the next morning. Breakfast is great, lots of choice, fruit, cereals, thai, european. Rooms and hallways were old, stark, and needed serious attention. It was obvious they spend money only on the lobby area. Once out of the lobby I felt like I was in a cheap dormitory. having to pay for trips in cash and not credit card. Lack of English proficiency on the part of some staff members. Some rooms are noisy. Nothing. There is nothing I didn't like about the Bossotel. We made a booking through letsbookhotel.com for a twin room and when we got there they overbooked and there was no twin room availeble. Small! not suitable for the huge guy. Bed was a little on the hard side and the AC unit was noisy. Window overlooked a shaft so no fresh air. hardly any taxi knows where it is unless you show the map. even the hotel bizcard has map to show taxi. check out took 20 min and they charged the credit card before the check in. Longs discussions to get a bill/invoice. where was in this hotel the famous SMILE. The room small ... The money pay not worth it. The staff dos not speak English very good and if yo ask for direction they will send you nowhere , they do not admit that they do not know and do not try to help to find the valid information, they just write down on their own language and when you show the driver and take a taxi you will find yourself in the wrong place and have to pay for the stupidity of the staff. The hotel itself, it is not known to taxi drivers. We got lost twice because Bossotel is not known to drivers. We should have our address and the phone number ready all the time. The pool was under maintenance and was not informed before we arrived. One elevator that's used by the entire hotel. Staff/travel desk wouldn't help contacting a Taxi (and they understood what was needed). All in all, not happy with this hotel experience. Beds...hard as rocks...carpet needs updating..room dripped water and smelled like rotten feet!. Unfriendly staff. A recepcinist called Tidarat wanted to rob me. When we arrive the hotel, i ask her where could i change money to pay the bill. She said she could change personally my money. The only iregular thing was that she offered this about 40 baht/€ when the natural was at 42.5. Finally, a day afther, i ask another recepcionist to change money and she gave me the natural one.
