The Vasa Museum and the Nordisk Museum sa well sa Scancen are very close. You can take the Hop on Hop off bus to see the central Stockholm - the bus stop is not far from the hotel. The breakfast is good, the staff is polite. The hotel is very small.

  This is a really nice hotel and one of the best I have stayed in. As others have said it is centrally situated and right across the road from the Arlanda express. My single room was really well thought out and very comfortable and practical. Breakfast was excellent, in quaility , quantitiy and variety.   The rooms are beautiful and very practical. The beds have two small single bed duvets but i was alone and was not an issue. Reception is open 24/7 so had no problem checking out at 2 in the morning. The wifi was nice and strong and i was able to skype my husband with video on. Its very easy gett - Considering that I stayed during June when the dusk hours are about three a day, my room had sufficient light blocking drapes. The breakfast was good, varied. The rooms are modern, clean, and with kitchen, which was important to me as I was bringing a cheese back to the States that I hiked into the Alps to purchase. :) The staff were very friendly and super helpful. It's a quick Tunnelbana to T-Central. For me, the old portion of the city was within a very comfortable walking distance.

The price is rather high - The hotel's location is perfect in the middle of everything with a fantastic view on the Royal Palace. Tip: Instead of the buffet breakfast (and if you don't have the breakfast included in your package) eat a la carte in the bar with the view on the Palace - breath-taking!

  nice hotel for a short stay. traveled with two friends and booked quadruple room for two nights. hotel is right in the center, we walked about 10 min from the station. we arrived late so it was very convenient with the code. the room was clean, with a kettle, fridge and microwave, all was well functioning. the bathroom is small, but manageable, so... what people say » ap and toilet paper were on place, as well as clean towels and bed linen, hangers, tea, coffee and cups. it's good place if you just need to sleep and - This was a fantastic hotel room. By European standards the room was large with a separate shower stall that wasn't over the toilet. The television has a large screen with English channels. When I did have a question, I picked up the phone in the lobby and spoke with very nice staff who fixed my issue.

I didn't try the shared bathroom but only the toilets since I slept my two first nights (3 nights in total) in a double-bed room, but absolutely everything was wonderful : - comfortable quite big beds with strong woody frames (no noise) - easy key system with card or magnetic "plastic coin" - big case for valuable belongi... what people say » ngs in the "multiple beds bedroom" - everything was modern : bathrooms, doors, furniture, kitchen, ... - big kitchen with lots of utensils for cookin - The kitchen is a very nice addition to the stay at Skanstulls. Since food is so expensive in Stockholm, the kitchen gives a nice break to buy food and cook it. There are 2 grocery stores across the street too, In the hostel is a lot of tourist info which was really nice. I had a late check in that I forgot to mention and I almost wasn't able to get into the hostel. I caught the staff member at the last minute as she was leaving and she was so kind about my mistake.
