Please, put the blanket up front in the wintertime!. because of its location it may be noisy especially on weekend nights. beds extra firm which could be a problem for some people. well just that the breakfast was not included in the room fee. Coffee machine in the lobby must be available 24 hrs. Silly to shut itdown in the morning in the hope to sell more coffee in the breakfastroom. This is disrespectful of the busy traveler.Sheets were dirty our first night. The room was extremely small. can be noisy at night (nightclub is very close), top floor rooms have very low ceilings and tiny windows (can feel claustrophobic and risk to bump ones head), plaza del carmen has been used as site office for construction site for last 2 years (accord to hotel staff) and no end in sight, thus the lovely outdoor restaurant as displayed on website and hotel brochure is not quite as lovely. The free space in the room was very small and two people have difficulty sometime to get one by the other.A bit noisy (restaurant downstairs), Bathroom without lock. Very noisy, walls so thin you could hear the people next door breathing!. Room has a kitchen smell from the restaurant next door. The housekeeping needs improving,we had to ask for towels and tissues as we were 3 to share a room ,some basic maintenance need doing ,there is a certain lack of attention to details(towels,paper,taps that ned fixing,socks off the walls ,windows that can't close etc..) for a 4 stars hotel but the employees were very friendly and helpful. The room was very small and I did not actually get what I booked. Vwery noisy at night and early mornings due to location close to area used by roaming young people.room making (very basic and not so clean) and too long waiting for breakfast. The air conditioning didn't work in any of the four rooms we had booked for the first two nights.And when we ate breakfast in their basement and due to the lack of airconditioning it was like eating in a sauna.Other guests were experiencing the same problem.when we asked desk staff to book taxis to the airport they said they were unable to,yet the staff from Petit Palace could help us ?!?. Access to the hotel. No room for taxi at all. the building outside the room was not good. Every day work people made a lot of noise @ 6.00am. Generally we were not happy with this hotel - eg. the first Hi Tech hotel that did not even leave glasses in the room for drinking water, No Enlgish speaking channels execpt the news channel. to be fair to the hotel my answer to the next question will not be No but rather reluctant. It´s over-priced and over- rated. The room was extremely small (shamefully small). It looked to be in train wagon lit!!! There wasn't even the space to put down the suitcase!. no atmosphere too sparse. no A/C or fan in the rooftop room, whenever there was a problem the staff did not budge a finger to suggest a solution. The Petit Palace hotels are ok and new but each time I stay in one whether in Barcelona or Madrid, the room will have a problem and staff will not be very helpful. room size / bathroom. We were stuck in the lift for half an hour the first evening. The staff tried to send us to a different hotel when we arrived. Requests we m ade were not taken up. Air conditioning did not work.
