The best western arosa was a brilliant hotel, right in the heart of the city! We had an eighth floor room overlooking Gran via with our own balcony which we were upgraded to for free! I will certainly go back to Madrid and stay here again!. Very nice for the price. Friendly helpful staff and great location. If you like sushi the resturant downstairs is worth the stop. Flaminco hall, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor all within a 5 to 10 min walk.

A bit noisy at night. The proximity between smokers and non-smokers at the lobby is negative. The small evelators is also a negative point.Breakfast could be improved but understand that all countries have to be catered for. Maybe a little too near red light area although we were not harassed by this and still felt safe. Need to have better pillows on the beds. The lifts are tiny, but curiously appropriate. The elevator did not always function intelligently. Also, the breakfasts were very expensive. The elevator on the left is small, but sufficient!. The one negative is that the hotel is located right in the middle of theplaza so there was a lot of noise from the street. Small elevators, reception on 2nd floor. Noise in some rooms - Some very noisy (street noise) - Ask not on GranVia (very noisy) even the Junior Suite is very nice but very noisy - butrooms facing the Calle Salud and not gran via are very nice and notnoisy. Madrid is living all the night !! ask them they will help you togive yous the best one. Nothing i have to mention. Everything was normal.Lack of hangers, and a non-functioning TV remote. Yes. My room was most depressing. Curtains had to be closed at all times due to proximity of other rooms.My (single) room was small, though not claustrophobic. I peeked and it looked like other (double) rooms on my floor were also kind of small. Little too old rooms and furniture.
