  The staff was wonderful. Our refridgerator had a problem but they came within minutes to correct. We blew a fuse at 5 in the morning and again there in minutes to fix. Very interesting European hotel with a lot of character. Room and bed were comfortable with excellent housekeeping services every day. Luggage check room was available to store my luggage since I arriv... what people say » ed early in the the morning (7:30AM). - The location was great (about 2mn walk to Centraal Station, right next to the shopping area, restaurants and bars, etc...), friendly and helpful staff, nice varied buffet for breakfast, quiet hotel considering the location (even on New Year's Eve!), all facilities provided in clean and cosy room. We will definitely choose The Avenue hotel again for any future trips to Amsterdam.

  Niels provided outstanding service. He was personable and extremely helpful. When I first arrived in Amsterdam I got myself lost in the red light district and he came to pick me up. The apartment was immaculate and had a well-equipped kitchen. It was located in a quiet, beautiful nieghborhood overlooking the canals. He met us at the tram station, helped with parking, gave good tips on where to eat, was available for text messages if necessary and arranged a transfer to the airport. The apartment was very well located and furnished, we were a group of 6 people and it was much cheaper to stay in the apartment than to book hotel rooms.
