So many nice extra touches, eg. range of toiletries in bathroom including hairbrush and a pillow menu. Big flat screen tv in the room. Lots of channels on tv, eg. BBC, Sky News. Very comfortable hotel and while in a busy location, I could not hear a sound outside. I would definitely go back there. Everywhere was so close. It is ideal for a couple. The nh Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky is one of the best hotels I have everstayed in. The enterance is fabulous, the check in easy and efficient.The rooms are fabulous. It was our anniversary when we went and theycovered our bed with love heart sweets! Room service was nice andefficient.
all reviews » The situation was spot on, very central in Dam Square. The hotel thought of everything, ie if you forgot something, they would provide what you needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We are going back later in they year because we had such a good time. we were greeted by really friendly staff which made a huge difference. room was spotless and the bed was huge.also the shampoo and shower gel was gorgeous. the hotel is in a great location and even though it was raining we had the best time ever. I didn't like the fact that there wasn't a shower cap. just felt the pricing in bar was bit expensive on spirits ie gin 7 euros without mixer, beers were standard.we were a bit disapointed that check in was after 3 pm. as our party would have like to get to our room and chill out for a bit before we went to look at all the sights. The only problem with the apartment was the thin windows and although it backed onto a quiet street, it was sometimes noisey during the night.It would be perfect if the hotel would have had a sauna or pool. The air conditioning was poor and did not adequately cool the room.Bar and food prices quite high. There was one exception to the friendly staff comment above, and that was the way the bar staff seemed to spend more time talking to certain customers than acknowledge/serve later arrivals at the bar. Quite disappointing.The high cost of meals.....We would have eaten there more often if the meals were fairly priced and in competition with those in Damm Square(Just Outside). Corridor smell was not nice. is more lake a 4 star but with an excellent location. Internet wireless way too expensive. Selection of televsion program very limited.The only down side for me, but this applies to most hotels, was the lack of smoking rooms. Suppose it cut me down on my intake!.

The history of NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky began in 1866 when it was a small bar owned by Mr Krasnapolsky. His decision to create a few rooms on-site blossomed into a full-scale expansion and resulted in the creation of this unique and grand complex.
