Great value and in unique old style neighborhood, walking district to SoHo district and Metro and ferry. In a city where a nice hotel exceeds $500+ this gives you a lovely suite with all the comfort at a better price. We got upgraded to a suite and would have stayed there a month! They have a lovely buffet breakfast with good variety of western and asian hot and cold foods. Nice self serve coffee maker where you can choose your beverage and it makes it piping hot for you.
all reviews » Location on Hong Kong Island was good, near to MTR and ferry piers with many restaurants close to hotel. The staff were extremely helpful they could not have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. Breakfast was good with interesting choice each day - we were there for 17 days so got to know it well! The free mini-bar was most welcome and our suite was very comfortable. We would highly recommend this hotel. Neat and fairly small hotel in very good location. There are many good restaurants an bars nearby in Soho are and a lot to see in walkig distance. Tram and MTR stations are also very close by and still this is a pretty peaceful location. Everything met our expectations and it was good value for money in our opinion. We had room 2302, a suite. We booked a normal room so we got an upgrade. Room was nice and spacious for Hong Kong. Bathroom had a bath and rain shower. Also all the amenities. Free minibar with 4 beers, diet coke, coke, water and some snacks. Breakfast is ok, normal stuff. Overall good value for money. Well located on Victoria Island. Actually quite close to Hong Kong Station where there is "in-town" check in. This is very useful if one has a late flight because you can check the bags in at any time and then continue to sight-see. Quiet, discreet & well apportioned rooms and Staff were very helpful at all times. Service superb! Once you understand the local mindset, it is up and running in terms of interaction with this Hotel. Ask for high floor, otherwise it can be al little bit noisy. Especially in the weekend. Finding the hotel was a bit of a challenge. Taxi drivers don't know where Jervois Road is in English. nothing. nothing. nothing. It's a little but not too much out of the way. the bath room curtain was very mal designed and inconvenient. breakfast was very poor. Can't think of Anything. No restaurant for dinner. no much choices for breakfast. I was disappointed that the pool was not available due to a repair job. The pool was the reason for me to choose the Mercer hotel so I would have appreciated that you announced that on your website. Location: surrounded by florists/wet markets. Do not expect smooth or clean pavements on your way to the hotel. Within the hotel, hall ways were a little squeezy. Alarming and hilarious. bathroom floor would get wet after taking shower due to a leak. window shades didn't work properly price for what the hotel is. Crowded lobby (due to its size). the location in old hong kong was unexpected but interesting. the breakfast was poor quality. Its sad not to have a view in such a city. The layout of the bedrooms is silly, and impractical. too small. The beds are very small!. In shower water flow was poor and one day there was not warm water!.
