well looked-after by staff without being overwhelmed, rooms in good condition, excellent breakfast incl. continental plus bits of dimsum, pricey restaurant but not bad at all.
Locationwise, 5 mins by tram to Causeway Bay or a 15 min walk to Times Square means you are on the doorstep to the centre while staying in a very safge residential area with good shops for everyday life.
Good location - tram stop into central Hong Kong just down the road - and comfortable room. We took advantage of their special offer for breakfast and it was a decent buffet with a wide range of both Asian and Western choices that more than set us up for the day. Front desk staff were polite and door man/porter especially helpful and with a smile!. all reviews »
I stayed at the Emperor 6-7 weeks ago at a very distressing time for our Family. I was surprised how many of the Staff remembered me and asked about the situation. They were genuinely interested and caring about it. Definitely stay there agin on a short term basis.
Location-near to the tram station and Fusion supermarket
Comfortable bed although a little too narrow (almost fell off in the middle of night)

It was quiet, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Air conditioner was easy to adjust to the temperature I wanted(not so cold). It was a 5 minute walk from my daughters family.

The hotel is located in the city but you can still find the peace in the
area. We were offered a free upgrade to a deluxe room. The room is comfy
with a relatively large bathroom with tub compared to other hotels in
the same grade. Here, we would like to give a special thanks to the
housekeeper as we’ve found we have left something after check-out. And
we were lucky that they have kept them instead of throwing them away as
rubbish when we called back to ask about it. At last, we could just get

In this hotel, we feel bit comfort becouse the front door staff was very helpfull.
Bed was hard, but it is worth with shuttle provided by hotel.
Even the location bit far from center of causebay way, but the free shuttle can brings you there in a minute.
If you want get to airport, there is free shuttle too to get you to airport transfer.

Apart for its location , a major Reno is long overdue. Has polite and helpful staff though.

Front desk staff, although friendly, didn't offer information readily, we had to ask the question so we didn't always get the full picture. Also, if you have lots of luggage and you're taking the Airport Express on arrival (which is excellent) take a taxi from Hong Kong Central to the hotel, don't take the MTR to get closer, then a taxi as they recommended we did as you have to walk for miles underground for the connections!.
The Matress was a bit too hard.

The beds were very hard and the room was very small.
The double bed is rather small and short for two. And it takes you 15
minutes to the closest mtr station. The best way is to take a tram
there, provided that you are familiar with the area nearby.
It is an old hotel. I guess it was a very good one in old times but now it became old.
the location is a highly residential location, getting a taxi is a pain in the ass, but if you are staying in Happy Valley, its very good, if you're not then this is a bit out of the way to get anywhere.

The staff on arrival weren't helpful at all and made us feel like we were in the way. Upon checkout they charged us for bottles if water that we hadnt used. When I complained the receptionist was rude and unacommadating. Prob won't go back.
