- the location : excellent !! 5 Min away from the metro station, and 1 min walk from the tramway stop! - located close to spadina avenue, which is a very busy street and got everything u need! - rooms are spacious and cleaned that all we needed Date of Stay : End of may 13. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. The place was very clean & secure. The other guests were very pleasant. The private change rooms with the showers, complete with a bench & towel hook, are a nice touch. Nice place to stay.
all reviews » Staff at desk very friendly and helpful. Close to public transit to travel with in the city. We were even able to purchase transit tokens and get easy directions. Close to hospitals for appointments. Rooms were clean and quiet. We felt safe. Thank you. Everyone I met there was totally helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very well set up and very good. The price was an excellent feature and I hope my young friends will avail themselves of this facility.Excellant for staying for half of hotel prices at the campus close to Chinatown and on walking distance from downtown. Room with airconditioning, with shared kitchen, wifi restroom, bathroom and toilet. the location is wonderful and with access to a kitchen. Breakfast in dining room for $9 was OK buffet- lots of options for food in the area. Free internet but need ether cable - they sell for $5 . affordable price to a student, good location, next to chinatown. pubic washroom, you may need a cable to get the Internet, there's not wifi provided. nothing to argue about, very good!!. I like that it was quiet and clean. The atmosphere was safe and friendly. The staff knew what they were doing and they were nice. Very convenient to have kitchen with microwave and fridge. Hotel is well maintained and very new building. The price was right, the staff was friendly and helpful, the students was quite and friendly. Ms Devangi was very helpful. Everything was good at this hostel, not amazing, but no real complaints. Location is perfect for shopping and food in Chinatown or bloor west. Sharing a bathroom was different, but no one else was there when I went in anyway. I thought that I was sharing a bathroom with one other person and found the shared bathroom situation difficult to get my head around. That was really the only downside for me. Breakfast restaurant was temperary closed. No coffee machine available, but Starbucks and Second Cup were around the corner. a bit on the worn side. Be sure to ask for an extra towel or two when you see the cleaning staff. none. The mattress is too old (shape of bodies in the middle) and the plastic covering it makes too much noise. The lights should have detectors in the hallways and bathrooms so they wouldn't be on all the time and that would definitely be more Eco-friendly. We had some problem with underground parking below UofT Graduate House. The Pay and Display Machine did not specify what the weekend overnight rate was and the staff at Wilson Hall who recommended the parking lot didn't adequately explain what I'd need to pay for a weekend rate. Consequently I only paid $6 per night which appeared to be what the sign on the machine meant. I got a $30 parking ticket, and since I live outside of Toronto I can't even dispute it. Had a hard time getting used to the dorm beds but it was ok. Seems like the people are not that friendly off campas. There is no wifi!. Loud at night - bring ear plugs. The bedding was a little bit scratchy. It was slightly confusing to navigate around and there were no signs anywhere. Shower facilities needed to be cleaned and maintained better. The room card was in bad shape and I spent one minute passing the card through the reader each time I tried to open the door. Bathrooms could have been cleaner. washrooms room needed to be painted and because of this looked unclean. You get what you pay for so no complaints. cold central air condition. Having to buy a cable from the front desk for internet access. No wi-fi. I was unable to get hit water from either show. The best I was able to get was warm out of one. Would it be possible to do co Ed bathrooms in the summer. I was a long hike to the ladies and a more reasonable walk to the men's. Shared bathroom. Needed another towel...towel was too small..after showering. Restrooms could have been a little better. And free wifi could have been provided. It is central air conditioned. I can`t change the temperature in the room. I feel a little cold. But I think it differs from people to people. I got one more blanket to cover the airconditioner after I told the frontdesk and then I am not cold any more. Room wasn't very clean, nor was the common room. Both needed a good scrubbing. There was only one shared women's washroom area on the third floor, and a weird man was often in it. I complained twice, but staff said they couldn't leave desk. Not pleasant or appropriate to hear a male voice in the female showers. Just creepy.There were 2 men's washrooms on the same floor. For this reason, I would not recommend this location to single women.. Nothing. It is a great pity that other guests are incapable of showing respect to other guests when using shared toilet and bathroom facilities. They wouldn't leave them like that if they were at home. The staff, however, were excellent and tried hard to keep everything clean. Bed a bit too student economy, but I will come again. I had understood that there was one bathroom shared between two rooms. The University did not have heaters running when it was cold. I had to ask for an extra blanket because there was nothing they could do. Wash room is not clean because it's very old. 1. no parking lots around College 2. parking information was very vague 3. I received the parking brochure after I checked out to tell them of my parking ticket. 4. We arrived at 3:00 am after 4 hours travel. The office closes from 3:00 am to 4:00 pm. No notice of this on the website or phone greeting. Not clean enough. The room never got cleaned during a 3 night stay. The bathrooms get cleaned only once a day if lucky. Be aware of pillows and sheets smelling like sweat. washrooms were located quite far from room. Very dirty under beds, noisy. Very small beds.
