  The service of the staff was good, and the manager wanted to know about the cooking! The maid " Nga Myt" was so helpful in helping me wiht ironing and my clothes and wiht outside information.   We stayed in a 2-room apartment on 21st floor. The apartment was very nice, and newly recodorated. The apartment had large windows with beautiful view over Hanoi. Travelling with children it was nice to have a well equiped kitchen, a nice dining/sitting area where we could have breakfast and even dinner. The area on 4th floor with both swimmingpoo... what people say » l, billiard table, tennis court, table tennis and play ground was perfect for us and our children. - Stayed at the Somerset Grand Hanoi for 4 nights with my wife and 2 young children ages 4 and 8. We could not fault any aspect of our stay. The apartments were spacious and clean, just perfect for a family like us. Breakfast was also very good with a wide variety and the restaurant for dinner is excellent in terms of quality and price. We would return again without hesitation.

  Lovely little Hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter There is no doubt that Hanoi Grand Hotel staff are amongst the most professional, hospitable and helpful of any hotel in Viet Nam. We stayed 3 nights but spent one night on a cruise in Halong Bay.   I liked my loft-style room with separate kitchenette as I didn't feel squeezed in. having a deep bath was a nice treat after walking all day each day. shuttle bus was a very convenient option and good drop off/pick up spots. - Clean people are nice.
