I don't usually make recommendations but Golden Sun well exceeded my expections. Having traveled in Vietnam for several days already and a few days more by the time I am writing this review, Golden Sun's staffs at the front desk (both evening and morning shifts) have the best English, which as you can imagine is extremely helpful. Additionally, they were so friendly and made wonderful recommendations.

From the moment we arrived in the hotel the staff were very helpful. Our room was was very modern and clean. We stayed for one night before going to halong bay and the hotel allowed us to store our luggage with them while we went on the cruise and also have use of a hotel room to shower before our flight when we returned from the cruise.
When we enquired about the Water Puppet Theatre, one of the hotel staff went out to the theatre to buy our tickets for us which was very helpful.

All rooms and furniture are new and shiny. All staff was well trained, nice and helpful.
Especially the lovely customer service lady, Anne, made our stay an amazing experience.
She organized everything from a doctor visit to train tickets in no time and with her great smile.

The hotel is much better than what you think out og the information provided online (maybe it was recently remodeled).
