We received a warm welcome having arrived early. The two rooms, one a small double ensuite and the other a small twin ensuite were excellently presented and clean. Breakfast was a mix of cereal, fresh fruit juice, grapefruit segments or prunes plus any combination of a full traditional cooked with toast and tea or coffee. Parking was on a side road, with pass, if no availability at the rear of the property. Depending how quick you walk, the centre of York is easily manageable in 15 minutes with. all reviews »
The couple running the guest house were great. Very friendly. The breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit, toast, yogurt, cereal and cook breakfast. It was very close to the town, only about 10-15 walk and there were plenty of restaurants nearby too. There was only two parking spot, one of which we had. Not sure where other guests parked so if you have a car it is not necessarily going to be parked on site. I would stay again and recommend this accommodation.
We came for an over night stay and found the place easy to get to. The owners are such lovely people and made us feel very welcome. We could see many of the rooms had gone through a make over, and we found the room we stayed in was next on the list. Breakfest was amazing and alot of choice to have too. Will definatley stay here again as we had no complaints what so ever.
Staff were very enthusiastic and friendly upon arrival and they do think
about all the little things eg making sure we always had bottles of
water, there was a cupboard with dvds if you wanted to spend a bit of
time in your room. Taxi numbers, tour guides and everything set out on
the desk when you come in. Everything was clean and tidy and the
bathroom nice modern.
This was our second visit and everything was again of a very high order. The breakfasts were excellent, the owners very friendly and helpful, the room beautifully clean and comfortable. But it is the "little" touches that really make this guest house stand out such as the quality biscuits with the tea & coffee & the daily provision of bottled water.
Michael and Lynne were very friendly and made us most welcome. The rooms were clean cosy and comfortable. They were also well equipped. Breakfast was generous and delicious. The situation is excellent and only 10/15 minutes walk to the Minster. A great pre-Christmas break.
Lovely b&b close to city centre. Rooms were clean and fit for purpose. We were given a choice of rooms which was pleasing. Breakfast is second to none, full English cooked to individual needs. Would definitely recommend.

Encouraged to ring the bell if needed any help however upon doing so I
could hear staff debating behind the door about answering it. Also felt
