The owners were welcoming and friendly and the accommodation was warm, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful - gluten-free bread was supplied specially for me, which was much appreciated. The guest house was ideally situated for exploring York - and was only a minutes' walk from the football ground too!. Great ambience of a lovely old rowhouse - quiet neighborhood - easy walking distance to the tourist sights of York - friendly and efficient staff - family room with queen bed in one space and attached smaller bedroom with twin beds was great - bathroom was very spacious in comparison to other b&bs where we have stayed.

They would highly reconmend and hope to stay again in the future. We loved York and the Bronte Guest House was only a 5-10 min walk to the Old City Centre. Breakfast was excellent. We had a family room with a large room and then a small room with the kids' beds in it. Staff were, friendly and helpfull. Location was in a very quite area yet very close to Bootham Bar 95 minute walk) and the Minster Cathedral (7 minute walk). Parking right across the street. Warm and friendly from the minute we walked through the door till we left. Great room and good location for city centre. Would definitely visit again. Thanks!. Everything about Bronte was to like. One of our group was on crutches from a recent injury so the stairs were a bit of a problem - but we were expecting lots of stairs so we just took it slowly!. Nothing - Perfect stay. It was a little noisy at night as our room fronted onto the main street. It would have been nice to have a sitting area downstairs instead of having to sit on the bed to read. There wasn't anything to complain about. Nothing. I think that they were in a rush that day. It happens. It was a little far to walk to the services and attractions of York. It may not have seemed so far if it hadn't have been cold and raining, but still not close enough to pop over to a pub for a beer and back. Nothing. Our room was on the small side but we were relatively late in booking, but it did not detract from our visit. Nothing,although railway across the road might not suit some. Although the double shower is lovely, a bath for the kids would have been nice. Nothing. Extremely hot days, no fan in the room. Nothing. ok there was a bit of creaky floor noise from the room overhead but this can't really be helped and if you don't get stressed about it it really isn't a problem. There was nothing we didn't like. Nada. The rooms are small. The family room in the third floor-many stairs for all the suitcases. Electric heater for the water in the shower. The fact that we had to leave!.
